Too sick, Ratking are the best hip hop artists to come out of NY in a long time. Strayed away from those trying to emulate the 90s and just created their own sound. True originality.
Thank you man!!! I said the same thing. I love the 90s and the early 2000s as much as the next but rappers need to make their own sound and elevate the genre what if 90s rappers just stuck with the breakdance type of style of rap?
ousseynoundy Exactly bruh, you need to create new sounds for your music to be remembered. There are countless artists today trying to bring it back to the 90s but the past should be left in the past. If i want to listen to 90s hip hop i will listen to Tribe Wu-Tang and Nas not artists trying to imitate that sound.
samg013 word man it's just corny. how easy is it to make a beat that already sounds like other beats then copy somebodies flow. The 90s did the work for you lol. Shit I can do that. I will respect you more for making your own beats and rhymes it's creative. you're right nobody wants to hear an imitation of the greats today it's lame as fuck.
Although I fully understand and respect people wanting to experience things however they would like, it's still pretty sad that people feel a need to record everything on a phone now-a-days. It seems like hardly anyone wants to just experience things for the actual experience. They need other people's approval for it and that's ridiculous to me. Maybe I'm just old and jaded, who knows.
***** Of course people can choose to experience things in the way that they want, but with phones I often saw it as though people haven't even consciously chosen it/// it's almost as if a wave rushed over people one day, and when it drew itself back everyone had become an unknowing victim of this phone dependance that we're seeing today... Anyone up for experiencing REAL, AUTHENTIC experiences? Modern life is already fake enough as it stands, now you all have to worsen the situation by viewing it through these screens... Alienation at it's best. But that's just me preaching and truthfully I don't care, I'm happy as I actually feel that my identity becomes much more pronounced simply because of the fact that I'm not these people
19:50 sport kills the remix, whatever interlude or beat remix this is, is fucking genius. These guys are coming to zurich and i'm away. so depressing man, i wont be able to see them live. so sad.
Kanye is the worst live period!!! He sounds like he is yelling not to mention that annoying ass uuuhhhggg sound he always makes. Kesha is better than him live and she lip-sings!
It's beautiful seeing the excitement in the crowd In London from this incredible performance. I co-sign Ratking 100%. They're the homies from NY and I've seen them 4 times. Every show is equal to or better than the last. Same energy, same hype, same passion. I don't see that coming from many an artist nowadays and it just goes to show the true character of these 3 individuals. They're a special unit are definitely growing to become one of the greatest (imo) to ever do it for their innovative songwriting and spastic beats that they frequently tackle. They're legit all I really listen to at all. I got mad love for them. This is only the beginning.
Agreed, but he's not a DJ, that's live music. Hak's playing a sampler, using multiple effect units and banging out some beats on that drum-set pad. Respect!
Does anyone have the details on Sporting Life's set-up? I saw them live, but only got a glimpse of his Roland SPD/SPD-SX I wanna say that he uses something like a Roland SP-404SX for his samples.
