rats rats we are the rats, celebrating yet another birthday bash MICHAEL its your birthday today, cake and ice cream is on its way, and MICHAEL you've been such a good boy this year, open up your gifts while we all cheer (tame impala the less I know the better version is amazing)
Yeah I’d say it has the feel of POTUS’ Peaches, but I think it also has some early 2000’s energy with the kind of sounds going. Then, the artist had other life matters and realized last week they had this gem lying around, so they remixed it and threw it on RU-vid. Whatever the story, I dig it!
“I’m trapped in a prison of rodents” and the unrelated quote “the trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you’re still a rat” evoke a very particular feeling I can’t quite describe
everyone’s talking about how Louie is a genius for coming up with a rat apocalypse but here’s the thing. The lyrics accurately mirror what it’s like to have a rat infestation in your house, and the beat? That’s what my heart is doing when they SCREAM in my ROOF while I’m TRYING TO SLEEP. Louie has taken a real life nightmare (not some fantastical apocalypse) and he’s given it the validation it deserves. Thank you, Louie.
These lyrics sound so perfectly diabolical with the funky music: I'm trapped in a prison of rodents they're calling to me through the walls i don't know how long i've been trapped here all i can hear is the sound of their paws BUT: I'm sorry, you can't expect me to have any reaction other than "awww" to the word paws. it's just too adorable.
I'm telling you, if Louie did a song about capitalism, death, houses on fire, or anything like that, it would probably still sound adorable in some level, and that's a very cool superpower for somebody to have
On mobile, thought the two rats above the person's head were antlers until I had the video on full screen ...and then for the first few seconds on the song still, with the 'they live in the city' lyric
RATZ I can proudly say that Wilbur introduced me to this. After he played this song during the MCC break, I fell in love with this song. It actually slaps hard! Manz got a fantastic music taste! Thank you Louie and thank you Wilbur
This song has already gotten stuck in my head. It’s so good. In my case, rats live in my room right next to me. I have three very nice, very adorable, clean, disease free “fancy” rats (that just means domesticated, the type they use in labs). They have the personalities of little dogs and I love them very much.
I need to be perfectly honest here because after 3 months of listening to this I can't not comment: The delivery on the line "This is how the world ends" goes incredibly hard for what the rest of this song is and gives me chills every time, what the hell
@@vinsueringamer2388 if you check lovejoy spotfy there is 2 playlist of songs they listened to while making the albums. Give a listen to Modern Baseball and The front bottoms it slaps
The idea of rats pressing against the borders of civilization, on the brink of ending the world is a terrifying and amazing thought. Another cult classic from Louie.
I've never witnessed a youtube video from a major creator prior to any dislikes rolling in. It feels appropriate for a Louie Zong signature BOP to be the first video I've ever seen in this state.
