I’m retired now & I spend 4-5 hours a day on U Tube surfing when I see these videos I tell myself this stuff is not real . My life now is going to church each Sunday & going to Walmart 2-3 times a week & surfing U Tube & a few movies here & there & then I see stuff like this & I think is this for real or what - I have always been self reliant & took care of myself - now in my old age I am living the American Dream debt free own my own home & have all the money I need to live - I thank God each day for what I have been blessed with …
That's what I thought too, like I mean they need to clean up after themselves, because it's creating a health hazard not only for themselves, but for everyone around them, plus starting fires to keep warm, there's a safe way to do that by using a metal can. I feel there needs to be some stricter boundaries by the city, such as cleaning up after themselves, some sort of guidelines, or face the consequences. Such as being mandatory to be moved to a shelter. The laws are way too soft for these people I believe. I also believe that maybe they're homeless due to being filthy, and hoarding?? Cuz most landlords aren't gonna put up with that
Except for those with severe mental 'breakage', these 'residents' KNOW where the 'help' is in the neighborhood/city/county/state and how to get it. They've either given up and have accepted their 'slow-suicide-by-chemicals' or they 'like' this life. Those that have fallen to this level due to the more 'traditional' forms of 'financial-disaster/divorce/domestic abuse/bad luck', etc, etc, etc, DON'T come here or leave IMMEDIATELY through the forms of help offered.
Wow Skid row really got bad. I thought the year of 2000 was bad. That's when I was living on skid row for 11 years. Thank God for the experience and journey. I use to work for the Midnight Mission when it was on Los Angeles St. . Everyone lived at 566 S San Pedro. 😂
The Outhouse had shit literally dripping out the door onto the ground and the reason I could see that was because I'm watching a 42-inch screen that was so gross I can only imagine what inside look like

Homelessness is not a black or white issue, meaning it's not that cut and dry. There's many many reasons people are homeless. And I can think of 1 right now. People not cleaning up their messes and hoarding. That's a concrete reason cuz landlords are not going to tolerate that unless they're FILTHY slobs themselves. Nobody wants rats, mice, etc
@elleg3651 you know nothing about me, and not all these people have mental issues. Addiction is another issue. When does it end. I've had numerous friends and family die. Most of these people don't want help.
I agree 100 %. You could give these people a decent job,...an acceptable place to live,....money to get them on their feet,.....and compassion and counseling,....and 99 % of them would fuck it all up and be back on the street in no time.

@@walkingtourseurope8526 I have drug addicts in my family. They did dope to get high to have fun and for no other reason. They are now addicted. My family addicts will rob you blind. I don't feel sorry for them and I don't feel sorry for the people on the streets. I am sick of people throwing up the mental part. You have to work hard to get off dope. Jail or leave. The real mentally ill will eventually get help.

The problem is most of California residents do not want this so the voting maps are rigged in favor of one party. It’s impossible to imagine people find it acceptable. It’s Vile and shameful to have this government.
