Wow.....62 years old Mr. PEARCY.......You've cleaned the act up. Your doing great with vocals and we are not back in 84,,,,,,so massive thumbs to you guys.
He got the surgery on his knee I think it was! He was having to take pain meds when that bad footage was going viral! Stephen apologized for that as well!
Pearcy you finally got it back together! I can tell you really have worked hard to get your voice & tone BACK, you sound GREAT! It’s about time you brought Juan back in, Juan is and always has been a huge part of the RATT SOUND!!!
For all of us ageing rockers from the 80s thank God Ratt is still jamming out! We've lost so many talented rock stars over the years! I was 16 in 1986 .Thank you Ratt for all the awesome music that filled my life then and now!!! Rip Robin!🤙 I think they sound freaking awesome compared to a few other bands that aren't as old as Ratt! GNR for one but that said Axel sounds great with AC/DC
I was 26 in 86. I lived the best decades for music. Yes --- I am a ROCKER. I play Bass mainly, do vocals and have been in a lot of bands. I am from San Diego. I do other stuff musically as well. Call me Michael Ray.
@@rayjingloryproductions3770 cool my man!! Any big named bands that you played or associated with? I myself played drums in a Greatful Dead cover band in the early 90s. Being from "redneckville" southwest VA I always liked the name we went by. Hateful Jed.👍 we lasted for around 7 years before calling it quits. Guys getting killed, married, strung out, the usual. Anyway Rock on brother🤘
I never made it to the bigs. I was in a couple of bands that play vegas a lot from what I gather. But I was in a lot of OTHER bands as well. I did sound for lots of local and touring small time bands while I was in San Diego about 15 years ago. For 5 years I was Chief Sound Engineer for one of their local entertainment companies that shall remain nameless as they FUCKED ME OVER ROYALLY. I mixed more bands than I can remember. And I made them sound like GOD. Yeah --- Among the many musical things I do, I am a very good Sound Engineer added to my credits. On my own, I learned a LOT about how the music business works. I did so in order to know what just about ALL of the bands I had been in HAD NO CLUE about. I currently live in Owensboro Kentucky and I am in between bands. I have been back and forth from here and san diego MANY times and I now have no desire to return as I am happy here in Kentucky. As soon as all this madness ends and there is a vaccine and we get back to normal, I plan to start my own band. I own my own home recording / multi media studio as well as a couple of p.a.'s. I produce videos also. I have produced OVER 60 videos that have been on my channel. But since I have been having a dispute with RU-vid, I have been taking some out. Long story, no time. I go by Michael Ray. A lot of my gear is old school mixed with newer stuff. I am actually from San Diego California. My main music is Classic Rock - Early Metal. But I do love a LOT of other stuff except for hip hop and rap. I did however, like the EARLY Rap when it first came out but not the shit it has evovled into today. Auto Tune should NEVER have been discovered by the NO TALENT HACKS that THINK they are "Musicians". I could go on but I really don't wish to be typing ALL NIGHT LONG. Rock on Dude.
@Missy jenns amputated penis Mmm That was my first thought but it's not like they'll be headlining 70,000 seat stadiums any time soon so, hey...whatever.
I’ve always love Ratt !! Still do . Music is so powerful for the soul , you never get to old to rock🤘🏼. So keep on rockin ! You guys sound great , even with the change . Nothing stays the same .
Seriously did a rewind to figure out who I was hearing because that was the Anthony in the band W@W hope he didn’t stick with that bunch once Robin was gone.
He’s an IDIOT! All of his stupid dance moves, hand gestures, and other on stage antics take away from the performance overall! HE WOULDN’T BE IN MY BAND!
Saw a few negative comments. What didn't you like? As far as them just quiting..... Playing Music is one of the most powerful emotions. It would be hard for anyone just to LAY IT DOWN!!!
@@kerribraddock4454that’s not an actual ballad! The original comment was saying there was not one on EVERY album! Stephen himself will tell you given yourself away is the first actual ballad they did! That came out on detonator, album number 5!
@@GNewcomb-q9vI find it hard to hear either song as a ballad in the traditional sense. Yes they're a slower tempo, but they're still chuggy as hell and they're a million miles from classic rock ballads like 'Is This Love' (Whitesnake), Always (Bon Jovi) etc.
For all the critical comments: Stephen is 62, at the time of this performance. This carnation of Ratt is not bad, considering they are senior citizens with zero discipline.
I was not a Ratt fan back in the day, but I do have a lot of respect for them and am amazed that Stephen's vocals are still quite good. I know he's had his ups and downs but who hasn't? It takes discipline to take care of your vocal ability as you get older.
Juan has been given a bad time by bandmates and fans for his crazy Antics and his is moves on stage but some people love it! What people love about rock and roll is all subjective LOL. Rock on
Don't understand. Why people say if there's no Warren and or Robin it's not ratt well guess what all of Steven Percy's solo albums sound just like Ratt.HE IS THE VOICE OF RATT AND SOUND
I have been a guitar player for about 30 years now and a Warren and Robin fan for just as long. Last summer I was about 10 feet away from Jordan Ziff last summer with my jaw on the ground the entire time. That kid can PLAY!
Ratt is the shit! I remember when these albums dropped I wore out my tapes! Steven really inspired me to sing! Sounds great still...the band is epic! Glad they are still at it!
Seen Ratt live back in the day n them some. My buddy was a drummer & had that same set. They sound 👍🎤 my daughter who’s 19 is a guitarist also like my stuff. ! Ratt n roll 🎸
Juan is the best there. Always took care of himself. I remember seeing ratt when they first hit the stage in the 80s. A lifetime ago. Never thought i would be watching this stuff in 2021. Amazing.
All these 80 metal bandss. Don't have to sound perfect. They never have to quit. They built it they own it. Like a old Vette in the garage . With 454. And 671 blower... You're never too old to drive it. What's best is we the fans age with them. .. It's great that we can age with these band's. Fans and band rock together we age together we metal together!!!!
I seen them back in the 80's..In Rochester,NY....iT WAS A TRIO....McMamas boys,Ratt.Twisted Sister. Now that was a concert!!!Long live Metal!!!! oh RIP Robin Cosby
in 85 I was in RiSQ, and we covered 14 RATT songs and mixed in our originals. I played all the Warren DeMartini parts and To get that sound, we also had to have LANEY PRO-TUBE AOR guitar amps... (Still have my first one)... Yeah, we probably would have played other stuff (I was always trying to push more Malmsteen or RUSH stuff, and the others more BonJovi stuff)... But each member’s playing style was so similar to each RATT player’s style, it felt effortless to play RATT songs. At our peak we had 5hours of songs usually split into hour or longer sets, and 14 RATT songs. Hmmm that reminds me, I haven’t played at least half of those songs since the 80’s... time to ratt’n’roll
tyhaas just goes to show, you just can’t buy a brain... You are sooo about yourself, you can’t see that we were a successful band BECAUSE OF RATT... Typical internet troll...
@@conspiracytocommit how am i about myself for calling you about blowing your horn? never once did i say what songs i play. nor did i even try to claim i could play malmsteen or rush for that matter dumbass. read the last part about blowing smoke up your own azz. this video is not about you or your band thought they could do with whatever freakin mommy bought equipment. ITS about RATT
I like every thing about that bass player Croucier !!! Guitar strap flip over the shoulder from back to front, finger points, side to side shuffles, kicks, dive bombs, machine gun points with the bass, forward gallops with raised guitar, etc, etc, etc, and more. Add to that high energy showmanship and backing vocals with strong supporting bass playing !!!
Isn't that still carlos from quiet riot playing Robin's parts? He's not bad. The new kid is a good player but he's no Warren. Then again guys like Warren and George Lynch were pretty unique back then.
Guitarist s are not Warren. Please.like watching two painters paint a wall. Juan only one kills every night!! Just like 1984!! Pearcy is there for a paycheck. Ok . Bring the band back
My favorite band RATT KEEPS ROCKING! Their last album Infestation kicks ass with Best of Me and Eat me up Alive. You gotta listen to those kick ass songs! Eat me up Alive KILLZ
@Johnny R. yeah, it's kind of pitiful when the backing vocals are put so far forward so as to hide Steven's utter pitch fail. And it's really bad when the replacements (Carlos) don't even want to participate.
Their stage presence is not helping things. The drummer has g2g . Ratt was known for a visual rock show along with the killer tunes. Put Stephen in a top notch tribute band and call it a day
Why can't people just stop criticizing, and just let there be rock? Of course it's not like the 80's, of course Pearcy doesn't sound like he's 25 years old. Of course his voice is strained, it's been a long ride for him. But he's still here having fun, and so should fans. Those fans on the floor are having fun, and that's what's important. The shows are fun live.
Saw 'em in the mid eighties on their "Invasion of your privacy " tour. They were great. Awesome stage set-up back then. Their opening act was a little known band, Bon Jovi, pushing their "7800 degrees Fahrenheit " album. They were ok, but Ratt just ripped it up!!!
@@SeanTolan_illuminated_imaging They sure we're good back then! "Out of the cellar" still pops up on my turntable now and then when I get a good buzz on! Brings back a lot of great memories!
Seen them just before the quarantine. The other guitarist left the band that day. The guy on the right pulled it off on guitar without a problem. Great show. Oh yeah. Jaun kicked it's ass.
He sounds alright, passable but the best he's ever been.... Now that's a stretch. Pearcy isn't much of a frontman. He doesn't bring a lot of energy to the stage and this is something I noticed back in the day too. Guys like Vince Neil, Bret Michaels and Jon Bon Jovi put a lot more effort into fronting the band and getting people excited
Bass man Juan Croucier was a very underrated member of Ratt publicly...i remember their producer (at the time) Beau Hill saying how good of a singer he was...and he proves it here...his dancing?...not so Rock n Roll lol...but his vocals are awesome! And Pearcy does his job pretty well...altogether a pretty good showing by the band!
Guitarist is bored!! Jordan Zift is fu$king awesome, as much as I love Ratt and Warren, this is well below his skill set. The dude plays with Marty Friedman. A gig that requires above average skill sets
You had to be talented as hell to be playing music back in the day and these boys proved that over and over I really love the bands from my time, I was 18 in 78 when VH came out and started this revolution of bad ass Rock.
I used to follow Ratt, Armored Saint and a few other bands around the L.A. scene in the 80's, they were superb live.....that's why it hurts to see this latest incarnation....
I LOVE RATT LIKE THEY WERE HERE YESTERDAY AND THEY ALWAYS WILL BE YOU ARE DEARLY MISSED ROBIN RIP....THEY SOUND BETTER HERE THAN THEY DID IN 1986...LOL THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
Saw Ratt many times over the years. This performance does sound nice, especially for Piercy. That guitarist playing Warren's parts sounds pretty good but I agree his stage presence is shit. Does not look like he wants to be there.
This is the most stupid comment that I can read... This is not about being old or young, this is loving music, music which in its time was incredible and is still heard and makes us remember the best time of our lives .... RATT FOREVER
Mr Ruiz, I, like you, am entitled to an opinion without calling names...the reality is that if we’re to not like Raitt I will not even bother to see the video and enjoyed, but also and regrettably times goes by and sometimes things are better when given up the right time...
Sounds nice and heavy just the way I love my Ratt! Keep kicking guys!! Long time Ratt fan from the EP all the way till today and beyond. Ratt N Roll forever!
Say what ya want, but Jordan Ziff on right stage playing Warren's parts has him down cold. In fact, I'd say he plays the solo's more to the recorded version than Warren did. Hell, if Marty Friedman asks Ziff to share the stage with him, he's got to be good.
I am die hard Warren all the way and he is the original lead guitar player on record and always will be. With that said, Jordan is a far superior player than Warren and plays his parts live better than he ever did.
I'm BIG Warren fan, but I like what Jordan is doing. Clean, precise, and fiery playing. Not the same phrasing as Warren, but that's because he's NOT Warren. Used to think that blows, but aftet a few more videos of him playing, I am now a believer. He's his own player. He just needs to shred the fuck outta those parts with class and justice.
I would say the opposite, he sounds completely cold playing Warren's parts. The technical ability is absolutely there but the phrasing and fluidity is completely off. In addition, he has very poor stage presence. It ruins the chemistry of an otherwise solid performance for me.
For all those commenting how good Pearcy sounds, you do realize he's getting "technical" assistance. His voice was blown out years ago. Not sure of his exact setup being used, but it's likely similar (low cost) to what Kiss (Stanley) uses in live situations.

Bullshit. He sounds decent, but not good enough for it to be digitally enhanced.
Juan does a fine job here on backing vocals and Stephen sounds better than he has in 20 years. The whole band is great, but you can’t really have RATT without Warren.
Gotta love Juan lol, he just does what he always has with no fucking apologies. He is enjoying himself for fuck sakes and I love it. Its fun to watch a band you know loves just being out there playing their material👍🤘🇺🇸. Come on Juan spin that bass around for us lol!
I was expecting a shit-show but I think they sound quite good. Not much of a fan of Juan’s ballet, but really that’s just nitpicking, it is what he does. I never knew he was such a good singer, I’m sure Stephen is thankful he is with him, he helps immensely with the vocals all around. ( I never saw Ratt in concert back in the day so I don’t know how they sounded live then ? )
How they sounded live is entirely up to you, what's good for somebody is bad for somebody else. So it's hard to say. I've got a bunch of live recordings from the 80's in my channel. Check them out if you are curious. All I know is that I enjoy them, and it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks.
