I haven't seen Stephen this happy or in this good of a mood in many many years! He was for sure up for this and the band was as tight as could be! Johnny fukcin killed it! Really wish I could of made this one....
Wasn’t expecting much but I got a lot ! Great sound, video, and playing! Many years ago not so much. Knocked my socks off . Old dudes can still get it done!
Johnny sounds awesome on guitar and Steven seems pumped up big time.Wow , i havent seen him with this much energy in a long time.I wish Steven and Johnny a very happy new year 2024 # also the rest of the band.RATT & ROLL Forever !!! So cool how he sang nobody rides for free ! A RATT Classic !👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I grew up listening to ratt. Remember the first time round and round was on mtv around the clock. I was hooked on Ratt ever since. Thank God for MTV back then. Miss the headbangers balls and the Saturday night concerts…. 80s was the best time for music. So glad Stephen found a band that compliments their sound so well. He deserves to go out on top. His legacy will be remembered even more then Motley Crue and kiss because he is going out genuine and real to his fans
Thanks Vic! It's cool to hear the Ratt songs live and Pearcy wasn't bad compared to himself (he never sang really well live, except for maybe the period of the first two records) BUT it's a shame how the band wasted its potential. Human causes/tragedies, bad decisions, almost constant fights within the band. If you listen to Ratt's 'Infestation' album from 2010, you can hear that it's as strong as Cellar/Invasion, it's full with good songs and the sound is excellent and natural. So the potential was still there, even ~25 years after their heyday. Anyone who has followed the story of the band for the past ~30 years knows that it is a mess. We know the story of Robbin Crosby, that was the first nail in the coffin. People still miss him to this day. From ~'92 the situation was not good for many bands like Ratt (the scene was hit by the grunge wave) but later this could no longer be an excuse. With the exception of the Infestation album, Ratt was unable to smooth over the conflicts with each other. Today, as far as I know, Warren doesn't even want to do concerts at all and the name-use lawsuit with Bobby only worsened the possibility of the whole reunion. I'm sorry, because the 80s were absolutely fantastic and unrepeatable (I mean the whole pop culture) and Ratt in the first couple of years was one of the best in that style in my opinion. For me it was better music than what Mötley (the "king" of the scene at the time) did.
Yes you are right. Motley may have had the higher profile thanks to a couple radio hit singles but Ratt made consistently better overall albums. I don't know why radio programmers abandoned the band after 1985. Lay It Down was their 2nd and last top 40 hit. Every single afterwards was totally ignored by radio. Lay it Down itself didn't even enjoy much radio time. It sneaked in and peaked at #40 if memory serves .
Robbin was an important part of Ratt but Def Leppard lost Steve Clark who was a huge part of that band. Pete Willis was a big part of that band as well and Rick Allen losing his arm didn't help things yet they kept rolling and are still playing arenas. Ratt is a circus. There's only one living guitar player that should be playing for Ratt/Pearcy. Warren DeMartini. Period. I'm not into the garage band Pearcy is currently playing with. The 2012 live lineup with the four original members with Carlos Cavazo was the best lineup they had since Robbin was in the band but they f'd that up.
@@metalmayhem672 Yes, that line up was great with Carlos & Juan! As I wrote, after the Infestation record, everyone's jaw dropped at what this band is still capable of. In 2012, Juan finally returned, adding a lot to the live shows with his vocals. (It would have been the best if he had already returned during the writing & recording period of the Infestation album.) Many of us were hoping for a positive career closing phase... it didn't happen that way.
@@80s_kid All five original members of Ratt were important. It's just a shame that four original members are still alive and they can't do one final tour. Some of them may be tough to work with but other bands didn't get along and they still went out and played. I mean come on, If Eddie Van Halen got back with Roth in 2007 anything is possible. They shit on each other for about twenty years in the press from 1985 to 2005. I know Warren doesn't need the cash but just do it one last time for the fans.
This concert has made me alive for ratt again.. just outstanding, I feel like I am 16 years ago , living at my parents house with my pioneer headphone’s on.. wow,, I’m still alive with Stephen.. indescribable.. heellll yes..
RIP my favorite guitarist Robbin Crosby (KING)!!! Miss you dearly but not forgotten... Think of you every day...!!!! RATT 80's.... Ratt N ROLL with Stephen still 2024!!!!!! RATT, RATT, RATT!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, NRFF should be a regular in his set list. It was when Ratt was together, but not his solo show. Love that song. Also like that Round & Round was what? 6th or 7th song in instead of the last song. When he played the Whiskey the year before there were tix. available the day of, not so this time.@@vicsmusic
Being on vacation from Australia I was taking no chances with my ticket!! I did expect it to sell out much sooner, it is Stephen Bloody Pearcy from RATT after all, but it did get there. Round and Round was forced into place due to it's position on the Cellar album as they played it in order after doing the first three intro songs. I was expecting them to go straight into Cellar and then do other songs. Very cool either way.
Thats one reason why life has went to hell nowadays back then rock n roll ruled the world. Now they call taylor swift and this other pop shit music.@angryagain3801
I stumbled on this cassette (out of the cellar) in my garage a few weeks ago. Somehow I’ve managed to keep it with me through many moves, states, houses, apartments, etc… it has survived 40 years. Damn and here we are 🤘🤘🤘

🤘😎🤘🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🔥 Thanks Vic for filming !! I was supposed to be there and 2 nights before I got sick and wasn't able to make it to the show ! So thanks bro for filming this !! It's like I was there !! 🤘😎👍🌴☀️🔥🎸🔥🎸
@@jimcasavant7644 Yes he does look 'rough', but he beat liver cancer a few years back. So he sort of looks like a meth addict kind of rough, not a rest home patient kind of rough...big difference. Also if he were to go to the gym and get his muscles back in shape I think I that would go a long way into making him look legit 40 again.
How many beers have you had? It's good to see him in a great mood, but Stephen is WAY off key and sounds like shit. The band sounds great though, I've gotta say.
I’m so glad I picked this video up , I’m alive again.. ratt fan in roanoke va 44 years.. please come back to Roanoke , we love you guys, how about dr. Pepper park, Roanoke . Va ❤❤❤❤❤ is a ❤❤ great place to visit
I was maybe 12 years old when this came out...RATT FAN!!! Since then!!1 Parents wouldn't let me see them as they thought I was too young...Now have seen Stephen 100 times since then...Best Singer of the 80s and RATT Best band ever....Ratt N Roll Muzik 2024 and forever....RATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Johnny Monaco (guitar player with the red Ibanez) needs to lay back a bit when he phrases. He's a good player but he rushes everything and the slipshod Yngwie licks over Ratt songs doesn't really work well at times. It sounds like a mess in some instances.
He sounds pretty good in this concert. His voice type from day one was the type that would be very hard to maintain after a long stretch and when aging. He does a great job now with the change and very tactful
stephen sounds great but i wish he would reconcile with the remaining living original members of Ratt it would be awesome to see him with warren bobby and the original Bass player (forgot his name) and carlos filling in for the departed Robbin on guitar, then it would be basically the original band
I know it's got to be awesome for these bands and singer's to have went full circle back to were it all began!!! From there to arenas and back again!!!
I loved Ratt 'in the day'. Pearcy is definitely the sound of the band, this was well done, would love to hear new material if they can recapture some of original energy. Totally understandable why he doesn't want anything to do with the old bandmates.
