Ratt was this shit back in the day, the Entire “Out Of The Cellar” record is a must hear

"Hair Metal" gets a bad rap for the image but it was a golden age for guitar. RIP EVH.

That guitar solo is one of the best i have ever heard in any rock song.

Ratt changed my life. It was 1984, I was 10, I saw the video for Round and Round, and I went from listening to Kenny Rogers and Ronnie Milsap to Ratt and Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot overnight. lol R.I.P. Robbin Crosby

RIP Robbin “King” Crosby... the genius behind the songwriting. Him and Warren complimented each other in a very good way.

I saw Bon Jovi actually open for Ratt in the mid 80s (before "Slippery When Wet"). "Alright, all you Ratt-n-Rollers!" Such a good show.

Robbin and Warren were an epic pair. Warren was the master shredder (and a big influence on the next generation of guitarists), and Robbin brought the grounded, thicker, melodic counter to Warren’s sharp fluttery bite. RIP Robbin.

This is my favorite reason for following and supporting you guys. I've heard this song thousands of times and watching you guys hear it for the first time is priceless. Cheers guys, great video.

You know what’s funny, I was a r&b guy way back in the early 80’s. My girlfriend’s brother was in his room listening to Round & Round while I was waiting for her and I’ve been a rocker ever since. Thanks Rubin

80’s guitarists were always searching for “The” tone and it wasn’t pushing a couple of buttons on an effects unit either. Many guitarists of that era spent many hours developing and perfecting their sound.

Ratt is underrated. The first few albums were well received. They were inspired by Van Halen and as did so many other bands in the 80s couldn't wait to go see them in the clubs when they were younger.

All of the guitarists in the 80's could play their ass off, some were just better than others. I'm requesting Whitesnake - Still of the Night and a hidden gem pick, Blue Murder.

RIP Robin Crosby. I really like this interview with him where he was reflecting on his life and he said, "I've done everything I ever dreamed of and more...Don't feel sorry for me I've lived the life of 10 men." Not many people can say that.

When this first came out, I listened to the album for DAYS. They were on FIRE!

You also need to do "You're In Love". Warren DeMartini was a very underrated guitarist. Robbin Crosby died of a drug overdose and pneumonia complications from aids in the early 2000s.

Warren Dimartini is one of the best guitarist of the 80's and still one of the best.

There's just something undeniable about Ratt's best songs. I'm glad and not surprised they got it immediately.

“You’re in Love” is a staple Ratt song as well.

If you like Ratt's sound, they've honestly got a ton of catchy, fun songs. Back For More, Wanted Man, Dance, You're In Love.

Ratt and Dokken have my favorite riffs of the era. I think you guys should start with It's Not Love for Dokken. It's got the chorus hook you're looking for and a great main riff

RATT is an acronym for Rockin All The Time. So it is all CAPS!

The video to Round and Round is a classic. It features legendary actor Milton Berle playing the husband and wife roles.

Invasion of your privacy was one of my favorite albums.

Ratt always had a nice "Crunchy" sound with their guitars.

I'm very impressed at how quickly you guys noticed their guitar tone because that tone is precisely what sets ratt apart from the multitude of cheezy 80s rock bands. I grew up listening to 80s metal, but I cant really listen to much of it anymore, because very few of those bands have stood the test of time & Ratt is definitely one of the few that have. They are one of the few bands with a tone so original that you can listen to one note & know exactly who it is. Well spotted guys 👍

This is one of the catchiest songs ever written. A person doesn't even need to like rock, let alone metal - to get into this one.

Lack of Communication off of Out of the Cellar is a straight up banger, nothing fancy, just a hard rockin' tune.

George has a good ear in regards to the tuning. Both Ratt and Van Halen have their guitars tuned down a half-step. It gives a solid blues feel, allows you to play different keys that aren’t easy to achieve in standard tuning, and the strings have less tension which makes bending easier. Fun fact: Coheed and Cambria’s best album IMO (Good Apollo I) is entirely in this tuning, and you guys gotta react to Welcome Home. Absolutely epic🤘🏻

Ratt goes in a different direction in Way Cool Junior. Probably my fav.

Cinderella was a great “hair metal” band.Try “ Somebody Save Me”, Shake Me”, “Don’t Know What You Got Til It’s Gone”, “Coming Home”, and “Nobody’s Fool”.

The model on the cover of Out Of The Cellar is Tawny Kitaen, the same girl who appeard in Whitesnake's Here I Go Again video in 1987. She is also the "legs" on the cover of Ratt's debut EP from 1983. For whatever that bit of trivia is worth to you, lol. Oh, and the model on the cover of Invasion Of Your Privacy (1985) is Marianne Gravatte, who was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the October 1982 issue (38 years ago!!!??), then as the 1983 Playmate of the Year. She also appeard in the Lay It Down video.

The 80s was an epic decade with epic music, a lot of euphoric music that was influenced by cocaine, artist wanted to "share" the euphoric feeling of cocaine through music and a lot of the 80s music sounded very "euphoric"

I heard this song once before. Didn’t pay much attention but now with your reaction video did, amazing song, those guitar solos went crazy

I thought "heaviest matter in the universe" and your love affair with Gojira was the peak of this channel. Gotta say the looks our boy Warren got after he dropped the solo were right up there. That's how it goes with some of the "glam rock" bands...usually safe vocals, boring drums, root-note bass, and then...BAM!..guitar players carpet-bombing the whole scene. You guys are awesome thanks for everything.

KILLER episode, guys! Loved the energy and enthusiasm. Thank you, for introducing this era and genre of Rock/Hair Metal to those that are either too young to know or simply weren't into that scene at the time.

Way Cool Jr is awesome as well. You really can't go wrong. RATT just has that style and are so consistent with those nasty riffs. I saw them live with Dokken it was my first concert and it was mind blowing!

I just want to make sure that ALL Ratt fans pick up the Infestation album with Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) joining the band-the album is Ratt's heaviest and blew us Ratt fans AWAY! So rockin' and tight, with Carlos being a perfect addition to the band-although no one could actually replace Robbin Crosby, and his rhythm guitar magic! (RIP Robbin). Infestation came out in 2010 and I believe a lot of fans missed it-GET IT AND LIVE A BETTER LIFE!

Ratt is awesome. Warren DiMartini is way underrated. Juan Croucier lent so much with his backing vocals. Robin Crosby can kill at rhythm or lead. One of my favorite bands of the 80s.

Warren De Martini is probably one of the best from this era on guitar. Blue's player's and shredders alike love him. He has great groove.

Warren DeMartini remains one of the most underrated guitarists of the 80s. He and Robin Crosby (RIP) were an epic guitar duo. "Lay it Down" is still one of my favorite songs from the era. Damn, those days were fun.

Ratt was one of the most underrated hair bands of the 80's. They were more on the darker/sleazier side of the genre which didn't get as much mainstream airplay.

Have you seen the recent commercial where they have a “rat” infestation and it turns out to be the band Ratt playing in their living room?

Ratt Out of the Cellar was the First CD I bought and the first concert I ever went to...14 in 1984...great time to be a teenager!

Ok guys here is one from Ratt. It has a blues kind of sound to it "Way Cool JR." You will love it.

RATT was easily my favorite band back in those days and I love seeing you guys digging them so hard! The Out of the Cellar album is kick ass, I've worn out 3 copies through the years. Warren DeMartini is a guitar playing beast as well, always loved his style and tone.

Ratt has always had the respect of musicians. Great songs and great talent that still holds up today.

One of my favorite songs from growing up. I always felt I was a cool kid for loving RATT (and Dokken). You need to do some Tesla - Little Suzy or Modern Day Cowboy.
