What makes the difference for me is that one is a proverb and the other is a chorus in a song. I think the constant repetition is what got me to that point of view, but this was filmed months ago so I don't recall 100 percent what I was thinking at the time.

Great song.🙂👍 To me, the chorus is the image of the phenomenon pointed out: a mechanism and a state of mind which has been repeated for decades (actually centuries, at least since the start of the industrial revolution, on a scale which simply continues to increase), without weakening, quite the contrary, even then that the negative consequences accumulate again and again. From the quality of water, air, land, to the chemical molecules found in everyone's urine. "Let's not change anything, let's produce and consume more and more, growth will finance future technologies that will save us (for the lowest possible cost for me, I want keep my own gains higher and higher)"... since decades and decades, we've repeated this pattern, again, and again, and again, and again, still again. Hence "we cant eat money, oh no, we can't eat money, oh no, we can't eat money, oh no", which flows naturally, as it seems that being hammered by repetitive and simplistic slogans is a big part of this modern way of life than we enjoy so much. "Simple and efficient", then, as history has already showed us, and numrous times, how much hammering slogans works well, right?☹ Anyway, thanks for reacting to Aurora, who see us humans like we are, as a species that is both dark and bright.🙂👍
Amazing song, great video, strong message. I love the song - if you like the chorus less (which for me is great too - maybe it is your different music teste or you need to used to it a little) then maybe you will like more the other versions with more calmer and more sad chorus :) - she has such versions too. If we are talking about Mother Nature (which is very present in her music/art) it reminds me some other songs of hers. I would recommend to check: Souless Creatures live from Bergen 2020. Others examples with message connected with nature can be also new one: - A Soul With No King - Remix (feat. NATURE) - very new remix of song which will be on upcoming album. As often with Aurora very different but for me also great music. unfortunately for strange copying reasons it was blocked for most of the world (and it was not blocked up to now) and for me it is only available outside her original channel in this moment :).
