Hi I am living in an island and I have question :) Is there specific season for amber or known weather like the direction of the wind for example. Because I heard that it is found more likely when the wind is strong from the south.
Yes there is specific weather for amber hunting. It depends where are the amber parts in the water - you need to find some maps, where the glacier came through and then wait for the wind which is able to take it from the bottom. Usually it takes 3 stormy days to get the amber on the beach by the wind and waves. In my country, there is a sign of it - loads of small trees on the beach.
Would love trying this kind of amberfishing. We will be staying at the westcoast next week, any idea where one can buy these stainless steel fishing nets?
