He's definitely one to watch. He's technically assured but also gifted with good taste, exemplified by his occasional slight pauses and judicious touches of pedal. He also seems to be a confident performer at an early age, which is crucial for a solo career.

Extraordinaire. La technique ne fait pas tout, ce jeune garçon semble avoir déjà une grande maturité artistique, il comprend ce qu'il joue. Bravo.

Ab-So-Lute-Ly GREAT!!!! in every regard. A phenomenal talent. Unfortunately he has no place to go but DOWN. I hope no one tries to "reach" him anything. He's had what all of us strive toward since he was a tiny child. At NINE he produced the finest performance of Chopin, Opus 20, I've ever heard -- and I have heard EVERYBODY. May God bless him and keep him safe from the harm jealous, stupid people might want to inflict on him.

This is not just impressive because he's 12, and you gotta love the "of course he's asian" comments. If anyone heard this without the vid or not knowing who or how old the pianist was, he/she would be amazed at the performance: amazing technique AND musicality. This was a great performance, period.

unfortunately, most really well-read musicians will know that Ravel, like most impressionists, need only to have their notes read correctly, executed correctly, pedalled correctly, dynamics and articulations done correctly, and bob's your uncle. wonderful thing abut the debussy/ravel french lot. takes nothing away from their value tho'. very enjoyable.

Wow, it sounded like there were about 10 people in the audience for that performance. I didn't like everything he did musically, but damn, that boy has a mature technique for someone so young. Very impressive.

Based on countless other videos on RU-vid I was prepared to see a 12-year-old who had bitten off more than he can chew, or at best, a technically-sound performance from a prodigy lacking in musicality. Wow. This was impressive not merely technically, but musically as well. A great performance for a pianist of any age, but for his age it was truly phenominal.

This is brilliant! I need to meet this kid someday. It is THE BEST playing of Toccata I have ever heard - and I've heard a lot. Granted, there are minor slips, but the passion and technique is overwhelming at all times.

I usually am. Very critical about modern pianists especially from far east ...for me art of piano is almost lost after 1950...but.. this is extraordinary I must admit it fits very well to this boy..may be a prodigious..God sometime speaks to us through children..Wonderful
