"Tone down the partying" i feel attscked 😂. Jk these are great tips for intermediate ravens like myself. I party too much amd get blown up a lot on cartwheel and qcf4. I been getting blown up with these damn moves since t6 cuz im hard headed. 😂 but when i chill out i tend to have closer matches. Great content as always man!

My brother your videos are a god send. This is my first legit shot at tekken and I've chosen Raven because he looks the coolest to me and plays in a unique way. A couple things I'm struggling with right now are choosing my combo enders / extensions, specifically because I notice some players will not go for tail spins in combos and will use a series of jabs or smaller hits for longer carry. Can you maybe explain when it's good to cash out and when its better to focus on carry? Also another concept I don't quite understand is good OKI tools and good buttons to use to pressure knocked down opponents. Coming from Street Fighter okizeme is way less straight forward. Thanks again, and if you have time and can just give me a few ideas in response I would highly appreciate that!
Just picked up Raven as my 2nd character and your videos have helped A LOT. When I was first trying him out on ghost battles it felt like everything I was doing put me in back turn and it was quite off putting but your videos helped me really understand it.
You should do a video on just how to party 🤣🤣 how to knowledge check people and see if there a scrub or not I play raven because he is in the bottom 5 pickrate im banking on people not knowing the matchup 95% of the time
Hey buddy. I know we need to tone down on the partying. But can I make a suggestion? It would make a great video to show us some cheeky party tricks and set ups for when we want to style on people. For example I’ve been making opponents respect my back turn. Then when I get the deer in headlights reaction the next time I’m back turned I >>> to back flip through them and immediately go into the first two hits of chakram as combo starter. I’m in purple/blue ranks and my opponents love to try and crouch punch when I flip through them. Which is why Chakram has been the perfect follow up. I’m sure it will stop working at some point but when I do it once every few games it feels so satisfying. I’ve also noticed that doing the Utsusemi Escape while back turned puts you behind them. If I make a hard read, how can I use that to punish hard? I appreciate the work you put into this channel brother. Even though partying is more unsafe than ever, I’d love to see some things that could be possible when I’m feeling froggy.
definitely best EU raven, not even close. maybe adam-o but still man best there is in EU. Would be lovely to see Immortal vs Haze, that would be a raven mirror that should be on pay-per view.
Been wanting to main Raven since his launch trailer but honestly when I lab him, he feels so awkward with back stance and his move list is intimidating. This video definitely helps though.
I must admit I'm guilty of partying way to hard as Raven an I need to tone it down putting people into guessing situations is really fun especially when it works out. Although I am guilty I only Party if the opponent doesn't know how to stop it. The frames when he faze Through the opponent has indeed been nerfed I was shocked when I hit out of it. I watch the Raven101 videos at least 2 to 3 times a day. I'll take in all the content you give and study it and use it in my Raven play.
Nice video, I would like to see you talk about parry maybe and when and how to use it because I’ve only done it accidentally and in practice I feel like the window it’s VERY short
"Tone down the partying" wut wut wut.... but doing yolo things like b bu 3+4 on 'Into the stratosphere' as a floor blast combo starter feels so goooooood :P But yes 3~4b seems so week in t8 ...no more abusing :(
Thanks for sharing so much Raven content and knowledge. Your guides have helped a lot. Wanted to ask a question regarding your crouch dashes. When you do successive dashes at what point do you enter each successive crouch dash? do you cancel the first dash and then enter the successive crouch dash input? From my end, I try entering a crouch dash during the active crouch dash animation but to no avail. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Btw do you notice any issues on the 2nd player side with ravens snake dash resulting in crouch dash moves instead of ws moves?
@@imortalXsoul with the PS5 controller I see the snake dash animation and yet a crouch dash move comes out. It's weird. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
@@imortalXsoul as an update, I just tested out crouch dash (version 2) d,df instead of qcf. command history shows df 3 has last input. Yet d3 is executed. Mind you that is launch punishable on block. Maybe it's my controller. I'll try a new one that I recently bought.

Maybe I missed this, and it might seem basic, but how do you make the cpu respond with a certain punish? For example, when you where showing the b+3+4 to get out of back turned, and you would throw out say a db+2 and Vincent would do a df+1 in training mode.

Hey man, I've been trying to do qcf1,2 screw after ff3 in combos but I just cant get the timing right, usually jabs comes out if im too quick and its too slow whenever it comes out. Any tips? Thanks :D
i am definitely not mashing the inputs. The command history is there for you to see … and if you want to see combos there is a complete combo guide with notations on my channel. This is purely a combo “filler”.
Yo soul you think there going to nerf raven? I feel like his lows might be a little too powerful well in the eyes of namco I could see them making full crouch df3 more punishable as well as soul zone 4. What do you think?
It's good to expand your toolkit, although what you're doing is working for you currently, but in higher ranks, it's much harder to exploit people with db21 and df1. Because people aren't mashing as much past red ranks.
@@sean_image people are definitely mashing past red ranks. im fujin right now. asukas especially wont even try to duck db21 they just try to parry and get hit 500 times
Can you please make a beginner's video that shows the very basics of raven? (With on screen captions) Like use this mid/low after block. Here are a few variations. Something super basic without alot of combo strings. I tried to understand some of your videos but you are talking too fast through them. I feel like new players need an absolute basic guide to get started.
All the beginner strategies have been discussed, pause a rewatch parts of videos to grasp the concepts better. Raven is a difficult character so i get it being overwhelming but I have no plans of revisiting super beginner concepts
i REALLY am struggling with Raven wavedash..dude it's not coming out like the way u do it, i can only QCF but if i repeat it it either goes in crouch or does another simple QCF but i can't chain them one after another, why..?
Down, Downforward, neutral, Down, downforward, neutral and repeat is the only way to do it. If you're like me you are doing it too fast and it looks like its not working. The move "Crouch Step" is what you are trying to do over and over. Maybe try to crouch first then do it.
@@anthonychase6906 the crouch dash is going fine, it's the WAVEdash that is not coming out properly, exactly doing d,df,n,d,df,n :c wdym too fast? The dude in the video is spamming like no tomorrow and Raven looks like he's lagging while wavedashing🤣 i can QCF, but can't chain multiple QCF and i'm struggling to catch people off guard with that
