This is such a special roller coaster. It's not the biggest, fastest, or most thrilling, but it has more charm and character than any other coaster I've ridden. They stuffed it in this hilly, crowded, tree filled section of the park, and the design feels like it could only exist there. There are so many subtle surprises in that ride. Go when the trees have leaves on them and preferably catch a ride at dusk or in the dark.
I remember riding this with my friend. I had an awesome time (I screamed in excitement and joy) and he almost got sick. I will never forget how fast I went. It was scary but so awesome.
This park certainly reminds me of Michigan's Adventure. One steel coaster, everything else being wooden coaster, and the most iconic ride there is the wooden coaster.
@@md_studio5797 I rode it in 2019 and it was a little bumpy in some spots but it wasn't rough and unrideable. The park did a lot of track work to it last year and it's running great.
@@mhtube01just went on it yesterday and it’s pretty bad now tbh. Needs retracked. Was honestly very disappointed as I’ve rode the Voyage like 100 times since I ride it many times everytime I’m feeling up to driving that far and it was easily the roughest I’ve ever experienced it.
The Raven is IMO the best coaster for the whole family at Holiday World. I don't mean that in a bad way like it's for kids, it's a thrilling ride but not over the top intense so older people and younger kids can ride it without thinking it's too much. I'd consider it great for a younger kid to ride their first big coaster. The Legend and The Voyage are more intense as is Thunderbird of course but this ride really appeals to everyone who visits the park. It may be a short ride but don't let it fool you, that ending ripping through the trees will really surprise you!
I always thought the legend was the least intense I’ve never been on a coaster before and always a little scared so I’ve been trying to find out which one is the least scary and easy and which one is the most intense and the list keeps rearranging 💀💀
Dang you think this is not that intense? I just rode this over the weekend. Im 30 and I was blown away by it. If old people and kids are going on it I give them credit lol. Maybe I don't ride many coasters
Such a great-looking coaster! The best part is the surprise drops hidden by the foliage. It makes me so sad that many modern coasters are just built on an empty gravel lot--no mystery, no scenery, no foliage, no fun.
This has one of the best night rides out there, because unlike on the Voyage or Legend, it is pitch black the entire way through, you can barely see 2 feet in front of you, it's insane and the layout makes it even better because of some of the really big and sudden drops in the middle of the ride!
That looks like a good wooden coaster to ride…especially for my mom, who btw only likes the tall and fast ones, but dislikes those with inversions or lots of turns.
They did, all of their coasters are excellent. The Raven may be on the short side but it really packs a punch with it's unique layout and speed. The Legend has some of the craziest laterals and head choppers I've ever experienced on a coaster and The Voyage is just amazing in every way. Not to mention their B&M wing coaster, Thunderbird, is incredibly fun too. But don't skip out on their water park either!!
100% it’s that way with all the park except for cheetah chase I think it was placed bad but otherwise I really love this park I recommend it to anyone in the Midwest
I have ridden this coaster over 10 times and is my second favorite coaster at holiday world but quite bumpy at the end but recommend this coaster so much
Beautiful scenic ride, one of the most lovely. Those new rides over cement or gravel, so sterile and visually bland…..cant hold a candle to the old wooden tracks with trees and great sounds.
With this one's fastness. It reminds me of one I've seen on RU-vid that is located at Lake Compounce but cannot remember the name. Also good to see a woodie still around and kicking. Keep up the good work. Aaron in Lancashire.
@@mhtube01 Bingo! Thank you. Both from looking have that once it starts it doesn't let up sort of quality that only wooden coasters can give in my opinion.
@@aaronmread Yeah I know what you mean. I haven't ridden Boulder Dash but I have ridden The Raven and it is a great ride. It's shorter but still really fun. The Legend and The Voyage at this park are the same way with not letting up. I highly recommend going there if you've never been.
That doesn’t even look that bad! I was scared of riding it but now I’m less scared! I’m going there on May with my school band, me and my friends are gonna get on the roller coasters like the legend, the raven, and the thunder bird but I am sure I am not getting on the Voyage 😂
Wasn’t there a death on this coaster?? Thought I remember seeing something about that a while back but it wasn’t the coaster or the ride operators fault, the lady unfastened her restraints on her own mid ride.. pls clarify if you know more.. love CF POV’s!! 🎢❤
Only part I didn't like was getting stuck in the back of the train on this as my first coaster ride ever so the ejection forces on the first drop and 3rd were pretty scary and not expected. Also was running way faster than the video. And the second half of that last right turn is pretty rough and that's a shock when the rest is so smooth.
Lol this ride is super rough and quick ride the spegeti bowl they replaced the track was smooth hope they replace more parts of the track down the road
@@ThrillSeekersandHellRaisers It is. That's just my opinion though, you know that right? We can have different opinions, if that's ok with you.....did you fail to read how I said it was "simplistic"?
Last year when I rode this it was probably one of the most worst experience, workers were great even though I was probably the last 20 people and they were all in a great mood. The ride it's was super rough and not smooth at all.
