So today me and James do a run down of the Raven Guard legion for Heresy 2.0 ahead of the release of me and James' game playing ravenguard this saturday
Hopefully going forwards these can be done after each game I play against an opponent with a different legion. Thatll mean Ive got a preator of the legion there, whos spent (in this case) years playing the legion not just a more generic overview by a militia and Iron Warriors player.... (me)

Searchlights do not ignore Shrouded. They don't give you Night Vision (which ignores Shrouding), they only let you ignore the 24" limit of Night Fighting.

Nice list. I went with pretty much the same thing except with Scorpius instead of deredeo.

hows the list doing mate? James went 5-0 at the whw event (which is pretty much a tournie for alot of the lists there)

Dark Fury can have 3 sergeant probably because they had a handfull left after Istvan V with out squads. The sergeant without squads has been integrated back on Deliverance.

You do not need relentless to shoot a bolt pistol and charge, that’s why tactical have it - to shoot something when they charge. They can’t fire their bolters without relentless.

I believe corax gets 2 pistol shots It's just saying the pistols have this profile and he has 2 of them

haha tbf i love the fluff of the ravens that were shunned by corax, just always fun to put down legion traitors (i mean i get the butt of that joke, half the IW special characters last edition were loyalist)

for me, the new rules are very bad...my whole list basicly got no legion rules...i play a drop pod assault list so tactical and tac supp squads...could infiltrate..but they cant

I'm just starting to build up my Raven Guard army, aside from the big box, any pointers on what i should be getting for a solid start?

Dark fury’s mor deythan mate! Watching James play a number of games now leaning heavily into infantry is they way to go IMO and the special units are great! 15furys in the unit for that 3sgts is soooo good aswell

Raven Guards feel absolutely nerfed and poorly written for 2.0..Hawks is essentially useless as bikes, etc. already have the same shroud effect, Falcon's re-roll 1s to wound doesn't effect chainswords (shred) and claws so your assault squads don't get any benefits... loss of 2 characters, RoW nerfed with no drop pods as well.. jeez

I’ve played bikes in a Sons of Horus list and having a 5+ shrouded will save the 70pts that I’m paying for an Apothecary which is massive! Being able to get a 4+ Cover and 5+ Shrouded will keep them around for a long time. Raven Guard are looking really healthy in the limited games I’ve played against them.
