Growing up I used to watch Sister Act 1&2 on my VHS player... I tell you it was a pain in the ass to rewind each VHS tapes back to start! 2012 when my family and I went to New York for 2 weeks! and it was my first time in the city and I wanted to see as much broadway shows as possible but one thing caught my eye is when I saw Raven as Sister Mary Clarence big ass billboard at Times Square. I told my mom we gotta watch it! So, we did and it was the best 1st broadway show I have ever watched and experienced. Being a Fan of the film series and of course Raven Symone its a win, win moment for me! I got to met her at stage door, It was a quick hi, hello since a lot of the audience wanted an autograph or a pic but it was the best moment of my life.
I went to the evening show of Sister Act on that day, and I can say that Raven was as fun to watch and full of energy as when I first saw her in the musical on April 26th and on any episode of That's So Raven and any movie of hers I've seen. I cherished every moment of seeing the fabulous Ms. Symone on Broadway and I am so glad that she finished Sister Act's broadway run on a very high note!!
No way is she auto-tuned. The woman can absolutely sing without any assistance from technology. Most talented person I know :) So many people underestimate her talents...
I'm also so glad that the two times I saw this irresistible show featured Raven in the lead!! April 26th and August 15th were the two most incredible nights of 2012 for me cause I got to spend them with my favorite comedic actress and singer!!
I would love you forever and ever if you happened to have Fabulous, Baby! recorded from this show and uploaded it. :) I'm so so happy that you have this, though! Thank you so much! :)
I got to see her on the 23rd. I was so happy, but I was sad that she didn't come out that night :( I didn't meet her. That would've been my best night! Well, It looks like I have wait again and the next time maybe, I'll get to meet her.
I love Raven, she has an amazing voice, she is an amazing comedian, maybe the best of her generation, but this was Pattina's role, and I still think she's too young for it.
Is sister Mary Lazarus the same sister Mary Lazarus as the one who originally played her on Broadway? If it is she's gotten more animated with her role and it was really cool to see her do that live
