We should’ve won the next week in Pittsburgh, but it slipped through our hands, just like it did when Flacco passed it to boldin at the goal line in that game… also through Houshmandzadehs hands on that 4th and 18 play
Thie was my first playoff game that i went to and was the start of many different home playoff losses, i’ve been a chiefs fan all my life and never given up hope that some day we could win a super bowl. And now, 10 years later we fucking did it.
Except for the fact that every receiver was the same, a great route-runner who was aging and didn't have the speed to get separation (Boldin, Mason and Houshmandzadeh)
@@cjarrington2016 the deep threat (torrey smith) was drafted the next year. got them to the afc championship (should've won) then the sb. Back to back top afc teams. All they needed was a decent offense with that defense
Man ...last playoff game I watched with my dad before he passed, we were so juiced after that Charles td, than just shook our heads, that team was a fraud but it was a fun season. Bowe actually looked like he was gonna be a all pro for years to come lol
Sorry for lose but I defend did the job images Matt Cassel playing like Matt Cassel not even trying when I watch this game the first time I watch this game at that moment I know Matt Cassel wasn't the quarterback of the future of the Kansas City Chiefs facts Dustin colquitt and Eric Berry are the two remaining Kansas City Chiefs player from this playoff loss. Let go Chiefs
And his soul was never truly able to rest in peace. His tortured spirit roams the Earth to this day, telling anyone who will listen that Matt Cassel sucks and Dwayne Bowe runs like he has a piano on his back.
To think that the Chiefs went from Matt Cassel to Patrick Mahomes. Matt Cassel wasn't the worst QB I've ever seen......that's probably a tie between Tebow and Jamarcus Russel, but he's easily in the top 10 worst in my lifetime.
@@ulrichvonliechtenstein6138 Tim Tebow was horrific. I don't care that he won a playoff game during his one real year in the league where he actually played. There was a game where he literally completed two passes. TWO PASSES. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
@@brothermichael8442 dude, guys like Jimmy Clausen, Ryan Lindley, Zach Mettenberger, and Greg Mcleroy are all significantly worse QB's who have appeared in the last decade.
How the hell did this Chiefs team make the playoffs? I remember them being complete ass right before and right after this season and Todd haley was a terrible HC Edit: they had Weis/Crennell from the early 2000s Pats on this staff
This season, the chiefs were all about Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones. Everybody else on the offense was just there, besides maybe d-bowe. The defense was young. They overachieved that season. We all knew we weren’t supposed to be there.
Late but - defense was pretty talented, especially in the secondary + prime Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson. Jamaal Charles was a game breaker and Thomas Jones had one solid season left in the tank. They also road an easy schedule. With a competent coaching staff and front office this group should have been VERY good in 2011/2012, which showed in 2013 when Andy Reid arrived.
I was listening to the broadcast, it almost describes the current situation. Veteran and BIG Ravens defense, going against a young rookie RB and speedy offense.
***CHIEFS leading 7-3*** Game-clock@6:40 - Chiefs timeout Game-clock@6:40 - Chiefs false start Game-clock@6:38 - McCluster gets BLASTED . . .& it was all downhill from there. You can NOT give those *RAVENS* an inch -> they take the inch & shove it up your @$$!
All those turnovers in the third quarter we're too much to overcome, and two were reversed, the pick that was fumbled and the fumble that was ruled incomplete.
