I remember watching this game very vividly, because it was my first time visiting Heinz Field. This was a truly amazing game that brought physicality, grit, and smashmouth football. Probably my favorite of the Ravens-Steelers rivalry. 2011 was a lit year.
I’m a Rams fan but man, do I love seeing the Steelers and ravens play each other. It’s always for pride and truly defines football to its core. Would like to see the Steelers bring these throwbacks back with the yellow helmet. Chris Collingsworth does kinda glaze the Steelers tho you’d forget he played for the bengals with how much he’s talking about them/their players.
Not really...momentum swings back and forth. Ever since the 2013-14 season the Ravens have won 6 times and the Steelers have won 5 times(If you include the playoffs). Even with the Steelers winning the last 3, The Ravens at one point won 6 out of 8.
This rivalry has been a pendulum since 2008. Right now it looks like it’s on our side. Steelers will come back around tho. Still not trusting Cleveland and Cincinnati is a trash fire
Mason Mahoney Steelers left for dead at 0-3 and now chasing the Ravens in the division without Ben. It’s just how it goes. Lamar better keep up his MVP effort.
Denis Johnson Great Lamar Got bounced in the first playoff game by Ryan Tannehill. Flacco could win big games and won in the playoffs. He was a good QB for the Ravens. You’ll learn that soon enough.
Ravens got a measure of revenge because of the cheap shot hometown call on the first play of the game. That is such a quiet stadium most of the time not because things go wrong for the home team. The Pittsburgh crowd and stadium usually sound so quiet. Definitely not loud like KC.
Both qbs Ben rothensberg and Tom Brady were quoted saying they hated playing the ravens the most I don't know if that's sports pufferary or true but games were always tense
@@davidmeadows3695 Collinsworth is more annoying. Al Michael's a Baltimore hater. He likes nothing about Baltimore all the way back since he committed the 1983 World Series. We actually wanted the Phillies to beat the Orioles.
This game was the original version of when the Ravens finally beat Patrick Mahomes. Before this game the Ravens were 0-8 against Big Ben at Heinz Field.
He always says its offensive pass interference when the Ravens are on offense. Shuts his mouth when New England lives for the pass interference. Run into the defender, get your call.
Suggs is healthy; it's a shame that during the Suggs-Lewis-Ed Reed-Ngata Ravens; Ray Lewis and Suggs were a shadow of themselves in their 2012 moment of glory. Reed was great but hard to see in broadcast angles. I have so many games of 2012 and it's so frustrating to see Hall Of Fame level guys look anonymous. I've been digging to find the peak performance in watchable quality; need HD or close so the Trenches don't become a blurry mob; it's sooo important for me, if I'm going to watch a classic Ravens Steelers Game. Luckily my HD collection allows me to appreciate beastly fronts since 2012, like 2012-13 Niners, 2013 Seahawks, Greg Hardy Panthers, 07 Giants, Jeff Fisher Rams,
