It's amazing to see those who have studied, who have achieved physical degrees to prove and help bring Christ into our hearts. I remember, though Christ never studied and Peter and James were fisher men, Christ helped them believe through the scriptures (the old testament) that He (Christ) will come and die, destroy death, forgive our sins and resurrect. We must believe this! Also, we must live a life of faith showing that we believe. I agree, His death was 100% prophesied by the prophets, but Easter and Christmas have nothing to do with Jesus AT ALL! People who sincerely believe in Jesus, should NEVER incorporate pagan teachings into the teachings and life of our Christ! As the Bible teaches us, through Apostle Paul 1Cor.10:20-21 ...but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I don't want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. Let us all bare the righteous acts of the right faith, walking and following Christ and enter the Glorious Kingdom of Heaven.

when you listen to him and then you think about his double life he lived, you can only think about two options: 1. the accusations / proofs are all a lie ..... 2. he thought he can trick God ....

If Jesus paid for my sins, then, even if I don't accept him my debt is still paid right? So I won't be punished later on, even though I refuse to accept/believe him

Paul says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." He says, "If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved." So I take texts like that and begin at the core-the death of Jesus. He died for our sins, which means I must believe I am a sinner. A person that doesn't believe he is a sinner can't be saved. If there is nothing to forgive, Jesus didn't do anything for me. If he didn't do anything for me, I'm not believing him for salvation. If I'm not believing him for salvation, then I'm not saved. So you must believe you are a sinner. You must believe that there is a God who has created the possibility for sin. That is, sin by definition is the falling short of the expectations of your Creator. So there has to be a Creator God out there who has expectations of humans. God expects humans to trust him, love him and live for him. And we fail.

@@varun7599 He died for your sins.. He gives you eternal life as a free gift. but you have to accept his gift in order to have that eternal life.. Take for example, if I bought you a gift, but you never came over to receive it, or just flat out said nah I don't need that, well then i can't force you to take it.. God gave us a free will.. and the choice is yours to either receive or reject.

@@justinp3345 which theory is correct. Satisfaction theory or gift theory? Satisfaction theory - While we were still enemies Jesus died for us. Gift theory - you have been saved through faith... it's a gift of God. For me satisfaction theory looks like God is satisfied with Justice, so he longer needs to punish humans. Gift theory looks like we need to accept a gift, if we don't we are doomed.
