Ravin R18 Crossbow Review!

I would like to see what is underneath that cam cover. I have a fiberglass Corvette spring that could be cut in half to up-scale that configuration into a ballista type siege weapon.

Enjoyed the video, I was seriously for a while thinking about buying one because I really like the size and the concept but I ended up buying another crossbow that I think is more appropriate for my needs. If you end up using it for deer hunting make sure your shots are close quarters within 30 to 40 yards or preferably closer because of the slower speed of your bow coupled with the loudness shooting deer any further is never a good idea, but because of the loudness of this crossbow deer at further distances may have time to duck the shot when they hear it, plus shooting a light weight arrow like 350 grain is not a good candidate for deer over 30 to 40 yards, the ability to go all the way through a deer at 40 or more yards is questionable. With this particular crossbow you should not be making shots further than 40 yards, most people keep their shots within 40 yards anyway, which is more ethical for the deer’s sake. You can shoot deer with a 350 grain total weight, but, it might be a bit more advantageous for you to kick up the weight to 375 or better yet 400 grains which will give you more penetration power. Hopefully some of my comment has been a benefit for you. Best of success to you.

You didn’t receive half the hate I did in my video. It’s not that loud in the woods. My compound bow isn’t much quieter. 250lb draw weight too. Ravin is making a hard case as well. You can see the sights as well one handed. Try it out. It’s fun.

looks so ugly. dunno if i could get past that ay, still, an insane piece of tech an engineering. I'm sure it performs amazing. Ravin are really upping their game.
