These things are great, especially for two reasons. One, a "VPN" when at public wifi and two, downloading from SD card to hard rive in 1 step. Backup battery a plus!

I am visiting a couple virgin islands for my graduation of med school, planning on vlogging and doing some cinematic shots while at the beach. Hence it would be nice to back up everything just in case and to free space on the SD cards!

This thing would be amazing for the many trips with friends. It seems like a very handy device to share stuff on. I'm always on the move a dedicated place to store and share files seems like a great addition.

Another great review! This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for!!! I travel a lot for work and spend a considerable amount of time working on those horrible hotel networks. I always bring my chromecast with me but it only works 1 out of 5 places. I also do a lot of photo editing so to be able to transfer my projects easily would be a huge plus. The fact you can share files to multiple devices is AWESOME! Especially on looooong flights ! Hopefully you can sense my enthusiasm here.

I would use it in so many ways. Most would be when I'm working away in hotels. Connect this to the WiFi to improve the signal so I can video call my kids without lag. Also when I'm travel with the family to share content on the plane or in the car. #sharingiscaring

Needs a USB 3.0 port and usb-c (with input and output) and would also be nice with an upgraded version with SIM card slot. Other than that it does still look good.

I bought one of these put it in a waterproof box and I use it to offload my drone photos and my digital camera photos to my sd drive

I would use it on family trips overseas, or when I'm older, trips with my friends ( if they can afford a trip, we live in Malaysia and it's always expensive ) . Hey I am going to do a very long road trip with my GoPro hero 7 and I am trying to research good external hard drives to put my videos in the hard drive and then put them on my phone would this be a good option? I need to use it with my VSBL to gain connections to my phones and computers because VSBl only allows 1 connection.

So you can transfer files from an SD Card to a connected USB but not the other way around. Is that right?

I would use for my travels to use WiFi, I usually stay at Airbnb’s and many of them offer WiFi, but some only have Ethernet and I usually just take my phone or a tablet

Honestly, if I could have this techy monster in my possession, I would probably use it for the wifi option in hotels, because I really don’t like being harassed by those annoying ads for ‘free’ wifi. I would also use it as a simple back-up battery to carry around in my MaxCarry case (skull&co) to ensure that I can always play my switch when I want to. I would use the filehub for photo transferring, my wife and I have a 10 month old and we take hella pics of her. Plus we are going on vacation this summer and we can use it for pics and as a hot spot for the ride to the hotel and when we get there too. I have a switch and a chromecast both struggle connecting to the hotel wifi login smh. Plus if a have some church work to do it will help to send docs with out needing my computer. #sharingiscaring

Great video :) Quick questions, Can you plug a Card reader in that uses QXD cards and still copy that to a hard drive. It would mean that you would need another USB port to copy from the card reader to the hard drive. I was not sure if this is possible. Thanks

Why won't the ipad with ios 16.3.1 software show the video portion of RU-vid downloads. My older ipad with software version 9.3.5 shows the video and audio portion of downloads. Both are MP4.
