Your heart just aches for this kid; he has gone about a year without seeing Daddy which is an eternity for an 8-9 year old. Yet he's trying to keep his composure in front of his pop while making it clear he doesn't want to be separated from him, ever again!
Fathers ARE important. They teach boys how to be a man and this boy will learn from the best. A boy needs to hear his dad say how proud he is of him. God bless this family and thank you for your service, sir.

Amazing Dad, Amazing Mom, Amazing Son. His father trained and raised up to never cry in front of people but i can’t imagine how much he cried alone in his room while away from them and at home with them. 😔 God bless them. Wish them all a life time happiness🙏

Yes I remember this as a kid [my dad was a British soldier]. Every 6 months to 2-3 years we moved somewhere new. Had to keep on starting new schools. Went from top of the class to the bottom [as they were on a different syllabus]. It was a lot of heartache....having to start/leave schools, saying goodbye to dad then the re-unions. NOT something I would recommend! I suppose, some of it still affects me today [at times], but I turned out to be ok! lol
