Justice has been served. Let's not forget what Honie did. From Wikipedia: "Honie then began to attack Benn with a kitchen knife, slashing her throat four times from ear to ear, with the slashes being deep enough to reach her backbone.[2][4] In the early hours of the next day, police officers came to Benn's house, responding to a 911 call from one of her neighbors. The responding officers found a smashed window and Benn's corpse partially naked, with her being mutilated and having deep stab wounds to her anus and vagina."
Its not about what he did, its more about the execution. I reckon all the crime shows in America use these words, ' there's never a good reason for killing'. " It went very well indeed' said one of the correction guys. I wonder what he means....no hic ups in the operation or we killed him and justice has been served. I am a little surprised with all the media guys present. They said no clocks, it was very quiet, we lost track of time. I didn't hear any critique to the correction folk or any thing else. What a disgusting show
@@stevekinlough588 Contradict often ?? Reason: If it's about an execution, then you would involve the reason behind it. We don't execute people for education on how someone should or might die. Grow up.
Unbelievable!!! What?! I bet you he suffered 1000 times less than his victim! And you sit there and talk about discomfort or whatever the heck you are talking about?! What a twisted world we live in! Good is bad, bad is good, and people who hurt others horribly, causing pain, death etc… are the ones we should feel sorry for!!!! That’s messed up! This new ideology in our country will be the downfall and destruction of our beloved country…😢 God have mercy on us!
@@JEdwarrd how does “how Christians act” have anything to do with God. 😂 That’s where y’all get it wrong. Christians aren’t God and are not perfect. @@aaliyahyoung1542 "god" shares the same behaviour's as an abusive- narcissistic partner. The mind game "he" played on Abraham about his son Issac is more like a cruel, abusive test of loyalty. Not love as you mention above. Or take owning a conc-ubine (which is heavily promoted int the bible), but no reference to the psychological & emotional pain of abuse survivors. If "god" is all knowing, it means "god" created a flock knowing "his" message would get lost & animal desire would rule b/c of "free will". This is a much deeper discussion than you are prepared for, so I will leave this convo here. Ps. Tulsa Oklahoma is an example of when Christian's use "the true word" to commit evil, no moral ground, just claiming to know "the true word". Where slav-every is promoted in the bible.
I just love some of the comments about that this was inhumane, not warranted… not quite those words, but… Come on!!!! They would be singing a different tune if this man would have done the same to one of their loved ones! For sure!
No. I've watched someone murdered. It wouldn't bring him back by watching someone else die. So don't put your need for vengeance on the families or loved ones of murder victims. Killing someone never brings anyone peace. It doesn't work like that. It's also hypocrisy of the highest level. Half of you are pro lifers and yet you happily ask for humans to be killed.

I wonder what you say about all the military that do this regularly to civilian populations. The double standard exposes the pearl clutching by random strangers invested in "execution". 20 yrs of war, all based on lies. Hmmm.
@@MaryHartman-ei9pv HOPEFULLY, you do! Our country is in crisis and our young people, specially, are rooting for injustice and supporting terrorists and all sorts of things hurt our people 😢
This part, this aftermath of the execution of a murderer, is ludicrous. These reporters are only looking for an opportunity to turn the dead killer into a "victim". They're only interested in finding a reason to abolish capital punishment. I hope the family finds closure.
You’ve said it “reporters” it’s what they do…. Report. Do something positive….. get positive reports, do something negative, get negative reports, do nothing, get no reports.
Such mixed feelings... there's a fine line between morals and humanity. One must ask himself if they'd like to be the line separating the two or would they justify on either end? I feel so heavy for both families that had to go through this process for over 20 years because of this horrific crime.
@@solennethomas7365 Something so simple…. No doubt whatsoever… and using all these costly resources for someone we already know as guilty and responsible…. Outrageous!
Nationally, the death penalty costs taxpayers an average of $1 million than a life without parole sentence, making it the most expensive part of our criminal justice system on a per offender basis.
Hopefully, he repented and got born-again (saved), or he is in a horrible place. Luke 13:3 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” King James Version (KJV)
The job of the witnesses is to report what they experienced. Those who object to these people providing their observations should ask themselves if they would object to hearing a plethora of gruesome and indeed bodily fluid-purging details. Sixty years ago the details of state executions were reported on the front pages of daily newspapers. So we do have quite a history of reporting and the presenting of a record. For some witnesses the executions are difficult to watch and hear. For some family members of the victims of capital crimes there is occasionally less than “closure,” but more of additional trauma. To my knowledge no follow up study has been conducted (optional only!) if the feelings and thoughts of the family members of the victims following the execution of the women and men who have taken the lives of murderers. It is additionally to be noted that the correctional systems provide mental health support to those personnel who , though voluntarily, participated in causing the death of a human being. It would be very tough work to do for those who have the heart to see a person on that gurney. Some commenters here will see themselves as both capable and very willing to kill another person. You are more rare than you may believe…
The death of any human being is very sad and traumatic for everybody even in this situation... my prayers to the condemned young man, his family dealing with the loss and closure for the man's victim... he is now with God having to be judged yet again 😢... to the victim and extended family my prayers and heart felt condolences to you... now a time for healing for all of those involved with this traumatic event ❤❤
I know one thing if I ran a prison I would make sure that everyone of those prisoners would get saved and know the Bible inside out and repent of their sins….
No way would I want to witness an execution. I mean how do we know if we will be judged by God for watching another’s life taken? That’s what I would be afraid of.

Thou shalt not kill! Even Cain's life was spared when he killed his own brother and this man's punishment had been incarceration the past 20+ years where he was not a danger to anyone and continued to not be a danger up to the moment they took his life! Wonder if other states are going to start using this new concoction of drugs now since it sounds like it went off with no issues like other drug combinations have.
@@danny1682I was wondering the same thing! We have a fentynal crisis, everyday people OD & never wake up. We have a drugs used in surgery....certainly, there must be alternative cocktails that have the same effects without costing $200k for the drug alone. Look at the Korie Ritchens (sp?) murder trial coming up - she put fentynal in her husband's moscow mule, before bed. He went to sleep & never woke up. (Which is what she intended)
The purpose of the death penalty is to be a deterrent to crime. Not all murders are premeditated thus making the death penalty useless and otherwise as it is now seen as a way to seek vengeance. Not a community I want to live in.
Not ONCE has taking another life because they killed someone been a deterrent! Look at all the Serial Killers out there even today that reading of this one won't stop them from preying on their next victim.
@9:42 I guess none of the reporters were allowed to wear wrist watches into the witness room? Seems like during the interview here, they keep repeating they didn't know what time it was nor how long anything took. Don't seem like good reporters to not have something so simple as a watch.

Want to know who was traumatized? Victim and her family. Per internet… Taberon Dave Honie was an American murderer and rapist who was executed by the U.S. state of Utah for murdering and raping his ex-girlfriend's mother, Claudia Benn, in 1998.
To all of you wishing this man had a horrific death, you are no better than him screaming for blood. What this man done was horrific. The victims and family’s should never be forgotten, but this man’s family are also victims. Execution is nothing less than murder. You’re killing a man cos he murdered 😳. So you become the killers. These people who also had to kill him will suffer later on as they are not killers and done this as a job ? 😳. It eventually plays on the executioners mind. Hence he’s saying there’s therapy for anyone needing it. Death penalty costs a hell of a lot more than life without parole. USA isn’t a third world country with pitch forks but this certainly seems like it. Surely the best punishment would be prison for the rest of his natural life. He’s dead now it’s over for him. Living is harder

And it was seamless. Utah should follow Texas and Oklahoma by vastly expediting the appeals process. The DP should be administered in every intentional case where there is irrefutable video evidence of guilt, DNA evidence of guilt, or a reliable confession. That would not only serve justice but also would deter others. We ought to have 10 times more of these in Utah--just like Oklahoma, which has had 125 DPs since 1982. By contrast, Utah has had only EIGHT.
