While this is very awesome, one must be a little careful when "chasing" other bikers like this. They might get nervous and start pushing themself over their skill level not to be caught up by you. Could turn ugly for the inexperienced in these wonderful corners
@Schaaf
@Schaaf 10 лет назад
I only need to follow a fellow biker for 1-2 corners to be able to judge his skills. Our Fireblader was riding confident and he held his line perfectly steady. Otherwise I wouldn't even start chasing him.

+Schaaf i've got a gpz500 for the road and a cb500 for the pleasure. wont change them for a too powerful (and expensive)1000cc. and to answer to others comments, in France you could find a nice cb from 1200usd and we also have nice roads to enjoy them :-)

I don't know anything about motorcycles, what bike is this? This looks like an absolute blast! I've thought getting a motorcycle someday would be awesome but I have absolutely no idea where to start and I have no desire for a super bike
@kovrcek
@kovrcek 6 лет назад
Well I rode sv650 for 2 years and yes it was very fun. But also very dangerous, that thing had bad suspension (compared to my R1) and weak brakes. R1 is also strangely more comfortable. So it's not all about power you see. But I know the feeling when you feel like your bike is a bicycle (you outperform your bike).

Awesome. If I remember right, like me, you also use a Zoom H1. The left/right pickups are on top of each other so you probably loose the 'stereo feel'. I use Giant Squid Audio Lab's lav mic (it doesn't require a crappy battery), they also do a stereo version which would allow you to increase the distance between the pickups inside your bag to get a greater variation between the left/right channels. Just my two cents, not me saying I know any better - hope it helps :)

Yeah really good video. So nice to hear the motor! I hate it when people add terrible Muzak so wie im Fahrstuhl. Geht mich vollig auf die Nerven. The camera work is superb. The bike sounds fantastic. The riding skills are first class. I lived for a year in the Black Forest so the scenery is nice as well. Gruesse aus Boston in den USA.

hey schaaf, i know what you mean. i'm riding a nc 700s. all those "real bikers" laugh at it and all the reviews done by racedrivers say it's a totally boring housewife machine. but nobody can imagine how much fun i am having with these cheap 48 hp... well i guess you can ;) i recently met a guy in a (tuned?) audi a6 avant quattro... he said it was 410 hp and i could hear he had dct. so all he did was laying his hammer down. we stopped on a 2 lane road for red lights and then pulled it to 100kph. let's say...he wasn't very happy with the result. too bad i had no camera... your driving style is insane... i can see you know every single atom of your bike. i ride like a chicken compared to that

It's BS that you've had rider's profile you based on your CB500... A motorcyclist is ANYONE that's riding a motorcycle, I throw scooters in that mix too. You are the better man here Schaaf! Schaaf I ride a Suzuki Gs500e, always have the same comments on my bike. But when you pass them on a nice curvy road they suddenly realise its not the bike its the driver that makes the difference.. many bikers with a 600cc or higher can not reach the full potential of the bike.. with a 500cc its 100% riding the full potential of the bike.. its nice! Weight, and the extra power needs more babying so not to turn your bike into a damn weed wacker.. The lighter bike with some suspension addresses, and time n knowledge of the road can equal out to some real full throttle fun ... YOU DAMN NEAR WAS GONNA PASS HIM ..LOL ..
@Schaaf
@Schaaf 8 лет назад
@danieldeutschen7714
@danieldeutschen7714 8 лет назад

Super Video. Bist schön an ihm dran geblieben. Mach weiter so. Allzeit gute und Unfallfreie fahrt.
@Schaaf
@Schaaf 10 лет назад

Impressive video man, Was it the knee sliders scraping or the pegs? that was mad lean angle so it oculd of been both maybe aha :) alot of motorbike riders underestimate little bikes, just because they can gas it in a straight line and be away from them, but as soon as the next corner comes up their right up behind them again
@Schaaf

Wo bist du denn immer so unterwegs?

Tolles Bike! Danke für's Abo!

I will meet with other riders this weekend, I have a late 80's kawa with 250 cc and will be ridding with some 1200's super sports, cruisers, and some other newbies like myself, they will help us on getting confidence on the road... Real riders don’t seem to care about CC, only posers do.

Unfortunately I've also encountered extremely quick and good riders already who didn't like what I was doing. And I always thought people who actually are great bikers were better than that. But most of them are, luckily. I sometimes go riding with a group with lots of very skilled riders on powerful bikes and 90% of them appreciate my little Honda and my riding

Motonelli thank you very much for pointing that out. I just love to talk to bikers from all over the world and share my rides with you guys here. Usually in life you either have time or money. I was studying until November and want to continue to study in autumn. I don't have a job but I don't really need one at the moment either. So right now I'm free to choose time over money & doing what I love (not what I have to). This all will be over in this form sooner or later so you are absolutely right. I'm enjoying it all while I can :)
