Once again, this is not your ordinary RAW onboard ride. In August 2013 during my summer holidays I went out for a ride across the boarder and decided to ride through the amazing Slovenian Triglav National Park. The place was incredibly beautiful. Since some of you guys enjoy my videos not only for the ride but rather for the nice views I decided to upload the ride through Slovenian territory in full length. You'll see some slow parts and some rather quick bits. You'll see me ride through villages and breathtaking valleys. I made it easy for you guys to skip the slow parts though if you're not interested in watching those.

video QUALITY: Unfortunately there's no way to improve the quality of the old GoPro 2 footage here on RU-vid. I've been around here for quite some time and did my fair amount of experimenting. Unknown road?? Still your riding is pretty good and believe me a lot of people would love to ride like you on well known roads. I am so jealous for the mountains and all the views you have there. Great video overall! Thumbs up!

Being able to ride so fast on unknown road with bad visibility is really impressive. The Alps are as gorgeous as ever. As for YT, it is really awful, they disabled pre-buffering the video and their encoding algorithm just can´t cope with any movement or changes in general. Practically only good for videos from tripod where camera doesn´t much or not at all. It is even worse with off-road videos, because of all the vibrations. It makes 2,7k videos look worse than SD.

I love how the subtitles throughout the video pretty much neuter any knee-jerks from haters before they've even commented ;D such a useful and 'innovative' editing style!

thanks a lot for the feedback :) The next part will show a bit of irresponsible behaviour from my side, unfortunately. I really don't enjoy sharing my mistakes and I wasn't sure if I actually should upload these riding clips here. But then again I see how much you guys like my clips. So I just went for the "honest approach" and decided not to edit them out and give you the ride in full length, my mistakes included. You'll see tomorrow!

Have you tried upscaling the footage to 1440? RU-vid compresses upscaled footage differently to standard 1080/720 so the quality is better and there's less motion blurring/pixelation. Enjoyed the footage, as always. ;)

thanks, Murcuseo :) You are very right about the upscaled footage. But I don't think it's really worth the hassle. What you gain quality-wise with a less destructive YT compression you've already lost with the upscaling process before that. Although I have to admit that I don't know much about upscaling. Maybe dedicated upscaling plugins for Adobe Premiere would improve the results. But this season I'll be able to record in higher resolutions anyway and this series right here is my very last one with old GoPro footage :)

Usually not. Although I was riding alone while filming these clips in August. I stayed in Carinthia for almost 2 weeks of summer holiday with a couple of friends. I just took my bike to get to Carinthia because I knew I would like to ride around for a bit in the area where we stayed. That's what I did :) Went for 2 solo day trips during that time.

The whole National Park indeed is quite astonishing to look at. I'm still a little bit angry that I couldn't take my DSLR camera with me on that day. So many incredible vistas for me to capture :)))
