Much love from australia, good to see an e36 not being a clapped drift car and actually taking full advantage of that brilliant chassis. Also refreshing to see a fucking excellent driver in america as we think its just cheese burgers and drifting here. My e36 fell apart at the site of this. Remove a testicle for weight reduction and you'll beat the tesla. Good shit man
Yeah, once they are setup e36s are great. ahahaha I still eat lots of cheese I just grip drive mostly. Instructions unclear, removed rest of brain for weight savings and went faster.
@@misanthrope5063 I mean he’s not doing it mid day, also not cutting through cars. Best time. Although where I live gotta watch for drunk drivers n deer
I don't totally mind double-laning if it's done responsibly. Strictly night only for starters, plus the trick of cutting the headlights briefly to better see incoming light splash from around a corner. I've been dabbling with it a bit and it's really satisfying to spot an oncomer from 2 turns away.
@@JETZcorp yeah on my main touge road theres 2 corners where you need to double lane unless you want to slow down to about 45-50 (with double laning i can go about 25 faster) but luckily those 2 turns have great visibility so i know way ahead of time if i can do it safely
As a local to this road, and as someone who has been gapped by this guy in particular, this pace is insane also, how do you get such stable POV footage?
Hey its been a while. I used the Sony a74 with the loawa 15mm F2.0 lens. The interior of my car is partially gutted so I can hard clamp on to the bare metal. In this particular video I clamped to the A pilar. For rigging I used a clamp and friction arm. Just search "SmallRig Clamp Arm" on amazon.
@@revloxe36 Good driving ! However I can’t figure how you can get such an acceleration above 100mph with only 170bhp and 2800ibs weight while going uphill ?? What is the trick ?
Blows my mind you can hammer the corners that fast uphill and with *only* 170hp. Must have peak power throughout the entire rev range, that things insane. Godly driving too
@@revloxe36 it was doing that with only 170hp? should save up your pennies and get a porshe, would love to see what you could do with a gt4, not too much power, definitely not too little, perfect handling
Man that pace with an RWD BMW is actually insane. Personally I am not afraid to drive at mountains with FWD hatchbacks fast but the idea of the possibility of losing the rear end of the car with an RWD drive train really scares me out. You are epic driver.
Honestly, E36s with decent tires are fairly predictable if you're not runnning ludicrous power. My daily E36 has the stock M suspension and in good conditions it's never snappy or unpredictable. The car takes load transitions so well and unless you step on it like a madman you will always feel the oversteer coming before it happens.
@@HCoreSoldierKili Yes, the long wheelbase of the e36 makes the oversteer very predictable. Only downside is trying to make the car rotate under power.
You were both high as hell, but your passenger was practically Sherlock Holmes compared to the number of clues you had. He told you you were giving too much and he was right. Literal nonstop understeer the entire way. Awful.
You know for the longest while America has been so fucking obsessed with 2000 hp vipers and gtrs doing 6th gear drag pulls on highways like wangan wannabes and its just so boring. This is where the real skill comes out; great driving and exhilarating to watch mad respect to the driver and cameraman. I only wish i had more cool roads like this down in Florida to stretch the legs on.
This REALLY goes to show when it gets twisty, its all about the driver rather than the car. I drive a C7 Corvette on Cup 2s, and I really doubt I could keep this guy in sight for more than two corners. Double the power doesn't mean anything when you haven't got the skill to back it up! stay safe out there
Insane. Love seeing an E36 chassis being used for what it was made for. And man, knowing my car will never handle like this makes me feel some type of way
Hands down one of my favourite videos of all time, only just started driving as I’m 17 and I know not to get ahead of myself but this is hella inspiring. Maybe one day I’ll own a grip build e36
Take it easy starting out. I made a lot of mistakes in your age. Can't stress the importance of being in the right state of mind and keeping your car well maintained. Learn how to shift well in a low stress environment and then go to track with a group of friends. You'll spend a lot less time crashing and/or dying.
What I would recommend is find a driver must faster than you and follow them within you're driving limits. I got really fast following my cracked mate who has a grip e46
Dude everything about this guy is flawless. Funny banter during an uphill and downhill with mates, not to mention with insane speeds on both too. On top of that, the UI that you have, your quality is insane. I’d be surprised if you didn’t reach 1m in no time. Seriously some of the best gouge I’ve ever seen, keep it up dude!
You're a professional driver... Staying in your lane, and not dangering other.... You got my like.... I love doing touge too with my Lancer.... Love the vid
that's some good editing and driving. the graphics, and the video game esque design, is what sets this apart from other boring videos. this is pretty solid work.
Stay safe dood this is terrifying but also amazing to watch. Insane skill! You should consider not having passengers tho, its always best to only have your own life in your hands.
Not only was the driving insane, I love the integrity of penalizing yourself for crossing double yellows. Also, you camera set up was perfect. It actually gave a great sense of speed.
6:41 did you know that the way he dosent spin out is because the sheer weight of that guys balls is enough weight to keep the car gripping all the way through
Holy shit this is literally insane, I can't even keep this pace in a literal sim, props to you not killing yourself. A new subscriber, like, and share well deserved my friend, and hopefully this video blows up so more people can see your insane driving skills.
@@revloxe36 no problem! I look forward to seeing more of this kinda stuff from you as this was one of the few videos my ADHD could actually stand to watch through 🤣
i do "touge" in assetto and irl, its honestly a lot easier irl because you can feel everything from the abs/resistance of your brakes to the weight transfer of the car to just the slightest understeer.
Holy crap, I've driven this mountain up and down a few times in a variety of cars (RX-7 was really fun), but man. Seeing your full send gives it new meaning. Absolute bonkers.
@@revloxe36 There's a lot of great roads yeah. I didn't drive in Chamonix, but it's a known place for mountain roads enthusiasts. I drove on some magnificent roads in Ardèche. There's a huge variety of corners and bends and the view is crazy. Plus you don't have to drive too long to find a local to play " try to keep up ". But I live near Bordeaux, so it's flat and straight for me.
It took me so long to finish this vid just because I was rewatching parts sooo many times, this is one of th best videos I have ever seen. Instant sub lol. If there´s one thing I would love to see is u driving ur e36 3rd person view with a 360° camera on top of the car like Tsuchi does
Damn bro, this spot looks fast and fun !! Where is this ?? Where you at ?? This doesn't look familiar to any L.A. routes. I'd like to check it out and run it.
This must be the closest feeling of adrenalin/ fear when driving a car fast i ever experienced from a video. I love when people relay on skills then on power. Really good drive man. The quality is amazing. What camera and mount to you use?
Loved EVERY MIN. of this video. Dude you're 1 hell'of-a driver. I thought Misha's RU-vid videos of driving @ the Nüburgring was impressive, you're driving in full ctrl @ night! 👏🏿🙌🏿👍🏿
OMG THIS IS MY FAVORITE ROAD TO RACE @7:44!!! The water plant dip can be so much fun! I run it in a 2009 Audi A3 Manual and it's an absolute blast. Glad to see someone outrun me, hope to see you out there!
7:58 I corner a bit wider at the start since I think it gives you a better exit. Same thing with the corner after, not as early of a turn-in. Also can ride the line near at 8:05 a bit closer. The water treatment jump has a slight curve on the top lip so I find that I can ride through that a bit faster without having to snap the wheel, and let the track turn for you a bit. Sucks that the car blocked the concrete corners cuz those are always fun to analyze between drivers. Absolutely insane run!
I felt secondhand fear watching you blow past driveways at that speed, having had a car pull out in front of me at what should have been a reasonable speed and distance, only for my garbage stock brakes, which had worked fine until that moment, to go straight to the floor. At that speed, with the car already loose from the downhill S-curves and cat's eyes, I don't even want to think about the result.
I can see youre skilled at driving I must say and alot of others agree but this whole run I feel you are pushing it alittle to far while having a passenger/passengers if it was by yourself thats fine but would still hate to see you fuckup and crash or potentially worse. But at 6:47 that would definitely be the line for me there id tell you to cruise me down to a spot and catch an uber home or have someone else drive me home, I'd say max I would be pushing would be about 70% - 75% with a passenger depending on the road and if its shitty conditions like raining or something or unknown roads id jsut take the speed limit or maybe a little bit quicker but you wouldnt want to be the one going to that persons parents house telling them that their son/daughters been killed by youre dumb decision fo trying to show off your driving skills to boost your own ego because at the end of the day we all like to drive fast and have fun but for me i like to ride as well and my tiny headlights would be hard to spot on a black bike with mostly black gear would be hard to spot especially if your cutting across lanes. Just take it easy with passengers or if theres other people around and your pushing it
It’s smooth and safe fast driving, you are clearly in control through every corner, it was really pleasant to see, hope more in the future maybe a review of the car 👍 cheers from France
Thank you! I'll put together a review of the car later. Driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife has always been a dream of mine. This is as close as I can get.
Yeah that was a sketchy one. Lot of people crash and fly off in that exact spot. That run was ramping up to be the fastest I've ever done, then I got greedy and braked too late. I honestly think I needed new pads on the rear. Found myself losing bite on previous runs.
A) that’s impressive actually B) you could easily kill a family with children in the car from one of those blind corners. You need to be freakin arrested!
This is fucking crazy. Not a local but have visited. Craziest shit I’ve seen since o_O s2k. Cool to see you’re homies with such a legend. Editing is fantastic. Camera placement and stability is impeccable. Driving is unreal. Keep up the great ai generated content and be safe!
Please bro tell me what you did to this car in terms of suspension/tires/brakes etc to be able to handle these corners like this because this is fucking nuts, I can literally feel the tires stretching under the momentum of the car. How much does the car weight as well?
For this run specifically. 170 rear wheel hp and 177 ft-lbs of torque, 2800lbs wet no driver, RC1 100tw tires, R12 Gloc brakes, Feal 441 suspension, sway bars, bushings, mounts etc. Front and rear subframe reinforced. I run 300v motul oil. Stock 323is lsd.
@@uniqxx There are a lot of preemptive maintenance upgrades that should be done first to maximize the life of the car. Front and rear subframe reinforcements are a must if you start driving the e36 hard. Electric fan is a nice first upgrade too. Assuming that everything on the car is in good working condition and safe I would upgrade my suspension first, then sway bars, and bushings. Once you get a proper alignment you can start throwing consumables at the car like tires and aggressive brake compounds.
When I saw the title I was confused by the excitement of 125mph then I watched the video 😳 dude you’re nuts. Reminds me of when I was in my 350z racing through the back roads and went through a chicane going 110 and had to correct the car in a slide. Good driving man stay safe out there
Bro this is gold keep up with the driving never to much seat time! Stay safe and keep the videos coming!! You finna blow! I’m telling you! Also what camera mount setup? I’m trying to do something similar
I used the Sony a74 with the loawa 15mm F2.0 lens for this run. The interior of my car is partially gutted so I can hard clamp on to the bare metal. In this particular video I clamped to the A pilar. For rigging I used a clamp and friction arm. Just search "SmallRig Clamp Arm" on amazon.
Rev lox you sir are insane lol and an amazing driver I too enjoy driving at break neck speeds down in the twisties but WOW your quick I subbed because of this video
I love driving like that too. But respect to the video quality. It's not easy to get such shots in the dark. I have an old BMW myself. E85 same engine as the e46.
Mate this raw content layout is BEAUTIFUL it captures touge amazingly and I could watch HOURS of this type of content! Amazing job and AMAZING driving! Stay safe mate and keep up the good work 👍 P.S. this camera angle is probably the best in-car camera I've ever seen for any type of car content! Please use this more!!!!
Great touge content man. I miss going for some touge runs, but i gotta keep my license clean now that I have my CDL. Stay safe! Looking forward to more content! 🔥👍🏽
I drove OTR for ten years and street raced the whole time. Invest in and learn about electronic Countermeasures. You can have a really good setup these days
