This speech moved me. America has always made the impossible seems inevitable.

this is perhaps the best speech i have heard at an RNC event - definitely the best since Arnold spoke several years back. What a stark contrast to the opposition in terms of content AND elegance/articulation!! God Bless YOU Condi!!

Oh my, how profound! You’ve moved me. You’ve moved me to tears. To think that you were so inspired by her nothingness has made me feel so hopeful about our great nation. God bless you too.

Great speech Condolezza you were really polite and address the real and true issues with have on our society and it was for both of the parties and candidates to move America Forward.

Peace comes when one is at peace with oneself. War is about ignorance, arrogance, and hate. "Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."

Whether or not you agree with the content, the delivery of her speech was brilliant.

There aren't too many politicians I ever cared to meet given the chance. But it there is one, I'd really like to meet her. I've always had a certain admiration of her intellect and the way she presents herself.

AGREED!!! She should be proud of her country. Yes! She’s an African American. She’s one of us! Just like you and me... American! The country is much better off with her than without her. Unlike Michelle, she’s not scarred by the profound legacy of racial inequality, unemployment, substandard education, and police brutality that plagues the AA community. Good for Condi. She’s not carrying any of that luggage around with her. She likes us and we like her. Tell us what we want to hear Condi!

“Reliable, consistent, and determined.” She did not mention honesty, ethics, responsibility, or accountability. “Free and fair trade.” Instead of upholding standards for others to emulate... instead of lifting others out of the sewage of industrial despair... we must do away with every standard, and sink down to the levels of industrial neglect that exist in China, India and Mexico.” That’s what we need here in America. We’ve been there before... the good old days.

Grover is so proud of her. She’s such an educated woman. She really is very good at delivering nothingness and making it sound beautiful. I agree! She is like Arnold. She can entertain us beautifully. God should bless all of us, including her. We’re going to need His blessing if we don’t wake up and continue to choose entertainment over substance. USA, USA, USA!!!

Going by what she says here, I think it's a pretty safe bet that isn't the "FIRST TIME IN HER ADULT LIFE" that this black woman was proud of HER country! Awesome speech - tell it like it is Condi!

Yes! Of course your right! Oh my, you’ve read John Keynes. How clever of you. You understand the role that public & private institutions played in lifting us out of the Great Depression, fighting WWII and fueling the post war economic expansion that we experienced up and until the mid 1970’s. Yes. Keynes was wrong! The trickle down economics and deregulation strategies that replaced Keynes have worked so well for us. I’m so happy that we have people like you thinking for us in politics today.

What an excellent speech. She is exactly right about American exceptionalism. The world waits and needs to know where we stand. . . . We cannot "lead from behind", or wait for China or Russia to intervene in dictatorial brutality like we are seeing in Syria. We stand for freedom, opportunity, and for unity behind those ideas. If the oppressed peoples of Iraq, Lybia, Syria, Georgia, and Honduras cannot count on us to stand up against tyranny, then from where will their help come? Go CONDI

Your point about fighting other peoples wars I think is valid as I'm also sick of us meddling around the world. However, I have to admit that in this speech I could see a different perspective that I hadn't before in her point that "we must" lest someone else step in and make things worse. So on that note I have to agree with her.

Her nothingness? This woman was raised in the segregated South and made it all the way to the White House becuase of her hard work and intelligence. That is hardly nothing.

Her speech surpassed everyone including Romney: eloquent, impassioned, global, I imagined her in Romneys shoes. Rice is an enigma: here she reveals a wealth of leadership potential, yet I still cant fathom why she didnt just get on a plane and fly to New Orleans while Bush waited for Katrina to abate...or he just didnt give a shit. Hope its not true that while bodies were floating in New Orleans, Rice was giving a piano recital at the White House.

@flyurway It is telling that in Britian Mrs Obama is lauded as a positive role model especiallly among the Youth of all colours, class and religions, to the extent that she and Mr Obama are the first President & First Lady to have been invited a second time as a personal guests of the Queen. What pisses off some Americans is that Mrs Obama, by her dignified stoicism against the obsenely personal vitriole she endures, is holding up a mirror to them and they dont like what they see.

Oh what a wonderful observation. You are correct! Education, hard work, persistence, talent, and prayer certainly played a role in getting her to where she is today. Yes! Her story is inspiring and noteworthy. All the more reason to be disappointed by the lack of substance in her speech. The nothingness she offered the chanting children of discontent. Yes! She certainly was the only sane voice in the room during the debacle her dear friend “W” wrought upon the military and this country.
@flyurway

Quite frankly buddy, it's hard to tell when you're being serious or just being sarcastic. She does state here going through the same racial inequalities you mention, like not being able to have a burger in a Woolworth's. And, quite frankly, Ms Obama and her remark about being proud for the first time basically told me that she never appreciated what her country had to offer - at least not until her hubby could run for Pres. Condi grew up with a positive attitude, Michelle...not so much!

Nice speech Condi, now where's all the money going to come from to pay for all the things you want America to stand up for? Thanks to your old boss "W" we are currently $16Trillion in debt fighting other peoples wars..Honorable and good "Yes" affordable NO!!
@repentantpeople

Yeah! She mentioned, "If she had wanted to be..." Romney still chose the wrong candidate, regardless...then, it still remains, who is the "right" candidate/President or VP?

Do away with every social safety net so that the elderly, the sick, the poor, and disadvantaged will stop draining the resources that should be given to corporations in the form of tax breaks, subsidies, and free land, and the right to pollute and poison and not be held accountable... that’s what we want. That’s what we need... YES! YES! We should be like China. We should be like India. We need to get worse so we can get better. We have no choice.

Yes! Of course you would have voted for Mitt & Condi. But those tossing peanuts at the convention... who would they have voted for? Our party has changed. Ever since we permitted the misfits (Helms & Thurmond, 1960‘s) to leave the democrats and join us our party has been adrift. You may have evolved, but others have not. What a shame. USA, USA, USA! Chant children chant!

Alright, Hanoi Jane, go ahead and go to Afghanistan and preach this bull to the very people that want YOU dead for saying it. I would pay to see that fail. I would also like to see you NOT use some Buddhist peace and love crap saying. Can a someone like you go even a day without saying something like the things You've been saying? The only way we can end our direct involvement in war is if we are strong. Allow ME to quote. "Peace through strength." The creed of true American Patriots like me.
