Sharing with you some clips from the HK shows with Jay. This was such a cool experience where I was personally invited to perform with Jay in Hong Kong! It was an outdoor concert (with 20,000 people and 8,000-10,000 more who were listening outside the gates) and the weather had been slightly drizzling all day. Couldn't use the Stradivarius but was lucky we could arrange an electric violin for the show.

I like that Ray used an electric violin for a non-classical performance. Seems appropriate for an eclectic program. Definitely not a place for his Stradivarius. Using a Stradivarius violin at this performance would be the very definition of sacrilegious. An entertaining performance by both artists.

if you read the description it says the reason he used an electric violin was because the weather, he planned on using his strad, but the weather made it a problem so instead he used this electric volin.

I personally like this performance of him using an electric violin. He’s having fun with it. I’m not against any modern instruments. Whether he’s using his precious Strad or electric Yamaha (in this particular video), he’s still the amazing Ray Chen. Bravo! ❤️

So beautiful it is beyond words, elevating 青花瓷 like a new piece again. Considering they probably had very little time rehearsing (Ray's in Berlin on tour shortly before) this is really incredible duo.
