hey everyone,
I've been meaning to get back down to castle haven, and now I ma working in Ventnor I took the opportunity to have a go, I havent fished it for well over a year, and I fancied my chances at a Ray in the pouring rain

Hi Dylan, nice to be out with you again. Watching this on Saturday morning to take my mind off the East Anglian derby. Less than an hour before kickoff & I’m nervous so your taking my mind off it. Don’t you just hate it when you get home after fishing in the rain and everything is soaked. Until the next one 🐟.

Hi Dylan ... You were saying that Nobby uses just 5 specific rigs to target a species of fish ... Don't change what you are doing ... Your bait presentation is probably the best I have seen online ... Also remember, who it was your Clubs champion last year ... Yet again, the cat sharks came to the rescue 😸 ... Thanks mate, I think with his style, he goes out with a specific target, which I do get, but I'm still at the point where I just want any fish, obviously sometimes I hedge my bets with certain rigs, bait etc, but I generally go out with maybe 20/25 rigs😂😂. Any fish to me is better than no fish. Had a nice session yesterday, no rays but busy, which was good. Thanks John, always appreciate your support mate👍👍🎣🎣

Thanks bud, yeah it's a great venue down there, I reckon it would be great for bass. I probably started a bit early, there wasn't much water to start, and I lost a rig on first cast, but after that it wasn't bad at all👍🎣🎣

I used to target rays a lot, but my ratio was something 20 doggies per ray, so I gave up and just went fishing instead. I caught just as many dogs, but it was much more fun.

Thanks for posting, Dylan. Another enjoyable video, no Ray but neither was it a blank. Keep going, you’ll soon be on more Rays 👍. I was out after a Ray this week as well, conditions were horrendous with driving rain, which was OK, but gusting wind made it more difficult, no Ray but a dogfest, so no blank! Location looked interesting, another one I’ve never fished, thank you for posting videos of so many different venues which keep your videos interesting and informative. Looking forward to your next video and hope you’re soon into more Rays 🎣👍

Thanks Steve mate, I hear the fishing is starting to improve, it's just trying to find windows in this weather. It's a nice spot down there mate, but not a lot of room. Hoping to try another new mark in the week, so fingers crossed I can pull something out that isn't a dogfish😂👍🎣🎣

Cheers buddy, that's my thoughts, at some point one will come along, had two at the beginning of the year, and I hear there are a few about at the moment, so fingers crossed. Good to meet you too mate, I'm always apprehensive when I meet local fisherman who knows who I am, but the majority including yourself are very supportive 👍🎣🎣

Nice to see you trying for a ray I fish chesiel every week weather permitting and it's been hard going for months and the Bristol channel isn't much better but you have got to be in it to win it keep smiling 👍

Hi Dylan. Great post yet again pal. 👍 Im an in lander UK. Been using a 15 / 20 year old sheakspere rod n real all that time. Cost me £60ish.😉 still catch if the fish are there.😉 Don't get drawn into the oh ! Ya need this n that. It's BS It's a case of TV or phones for instance. There's a new one every week. 😂😂😂 The fish don't know what rod you've got. 😂 They don't say, oh I'm not getting caught on the old piece of sh*te im going over here TO this brand new SUPER DOOPER XRP. 😂😂😂😂 Take care pal, n tight line / lines. 😉👍

I love fishing there, but like you said it’s a nightmare getting down there now 🤦‍♂️. I found it fishes best on the last couple of hours of the flood, and depending on how big the tide is,and weed, a couple of hours on the ebb. Can throw up all sorts 🐟🎣💪

I did mate, and I reckon it's on the list, to be fair, a few people have mentioned it before, I just haven't had the chance, and now I don't want to go and do a copy vid😂😂. I actually dropped into his shop, and bought a couple of his rigs, and some crab the other week. Needless to say even with my hat and goody, he had no idea who I was, so I didn't embarrass myself by saying anything 😂😂👍🎣🎣

You should give trinity landing a go it’s on the parade in cowes it fishes really well for big conger and big bass and in summer hounds pollack and bream
