[Stereo feed] Mostly interview; partly spoken-word performance from the ex-Doors keyboardist and record producer, and his friend, author and instructor, Michael McClure.
As a new teen in the late 60's the Doors were the sound of our time. Every time the radio would play the Doors I literally would get tight in ny chest and feel faint with sheer love and excitement. It would be the keyboard twists and turns plus Jim's cloying voice teasing us to listen and learn a whole lot more than what good girls were supposed to know about. There wouldn't be the chance we could sing along with his vocal ranges & keys, but we could dance our hearts out and give our brains something masterful!
In this particular performance and time of Michaels career it definitely seems he has taken more influence from Morrison, obviously imitating jims style of lyric delivery over rays piano playing, and rhythm of speech. Which is fine with me
After Jim's death, all the people he had associated himself with are just making fools of themselves in search of something unattainable without him... HORRIBLE!
