I know... he's a goof! He likes to poke fun all the way a round! Some further down are offended, but if they really paid attention, the appparent real natives on the grounds look natural and unaffected by the skit. He just blows silliness out of proportion, that is his gift. If people wanted to see how, when he is serious, he feels about all people, they should watch the video: "Everything is Beautiful"... where he honors and respects people of all colors and nations. It is really from his heart. Everyone in the world should watch it and come back to thier senses.....
I was born and lived in Calcutta till I was eight as were so many famous pop and films stars were born in India. This is hilarious. The social clubs there have some of the most amazing singers and musicians. I live in England now.
@Debbie Reeves It's on DVD at Ray's website in his store. You'll find that DVD plus DVD's of his PBS television show, "CabaRay Nashville" and other things. shop.raystevens.com/dvds
mybluebelly Yep. He's actually mostly known for his music though. This was a direct-to-video release he did in the mid-90s and isn't all that well-known.
I remember this as a kid...it was like smoking a big fatty; kind of wish I had seen it at this age so I could smoke and laugh my ass off. When i hear this towns name I get the song stuck in my head for days...thanks ray for sharing your soul with us...music/singing/dancing is the universal language
As a native I wanna be angry with him. But I can't. Its like being angry with a child for being short. He can't help himself. Bless his heart, he's just built that way. LOL
@Redrum Ray poked fun at all types of people at times, even & especially himself. If you've ever seen his video: "Everything is Beautiful", you would see how he really feels from his heart about all people when serious. Watch it and listen carefully to the words, he honors and respects all colors and nations of people.....
First time hearing this....classic Ray Stevens satirical attitude. He's a pistol. And the thought police allowed this-gasp! Sometimes, you just have to have a little fun by poking some fun. He& George Carlin were more "woke" than the little snowflakes today. RIP George. Keep it up Ray!
If I remember correctly he's the executive that Ray has to sign a contract with in the movie. He falls asleep trying to make a decision of what to do and this is his dream

Timoteo Saldana Honesto This is just the tip of the iceberg. Just look at Hollywood's portrayal of Native America since they produced their first movie. Native Peoples were always put in such a savage light. Soon Hollywood directors could find no Native to fill the roles and began using Whites and Hispanics to fill the "Tribes". I like Ray Stevens (a little) but I am disgusted by this. To me, it is more offensive than and football team mascot.
Timoteo Saldana Honesto I so loathe this google setup. Just lost my huge exhortation on my personal discovery that what public schools teach about Native America is well beyond lacking and only preaches about wars between the Native Peoples and the Americans. It was the Boy Scouts of America that opened my eyes to the reality that American children are being taught nothing about the Native Peoples of this land. There is more emphasis on Slavery and Black History than there is Native America. Now, they are altering it again to reflect mostly Spanish narrative which furthers the derision of Native America. I later find out that my maternal Grandmother's Grandmother was full blooded Native, most likely Choctaw. Family research only has her as Native but no Tribe. This furthered my need to discover more about Native Peoples and the thin connection that I have with them. We have to stand up to these School Boards and demand that they address the grievances of the lack of Native American history, culture, and heritage. There is more to the Native Peoples than just Army Scouts and Indian Wars.
