What a funny song! My mom liked this one. It first appeared on his 1987 MCA album Crackin' Up. The CD's still available for a reasonable price. One restaurant Gordon Ramsey visited didn't know what soup du jour meant. The owner thought it was just the soup they were serving that day. It hadn't changed in awhile!
8/5/18.....Would have loved to see Ray Stevens "character" for real in "a high priced gourmet restaurant"! Cold soup + raw meat + flaming dessert + chocolate "moose"? A "country boy" just can't live on that! GOD BLESS RAY STEVENS + GOOD OLD COUNTRY "STICK TO YOUR BONES" COOKING!
This is another example of proof what Me and my Boyfriend have been saying for years: "JUST BECAUSE IT'S MORE EXPENSIVE AND FANCIER, DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN IT WILL PLEASE EVERYONE LET ALONE MAKE IT BETTER". There are quite a few of us who would rather things that are cheaper, and simple. Simple pleasures do make some people happy.
@@carolkellgren8386Well gee. I was told “medium rare” was one of the best ways to eat steak. I didn’t know anything about steak, so I thought it was a more savoury sauce or something. When I cut into that dead cow, I thought the chef was trying to food poison me! 😅 Nowadays, medium-well/medium is my go-to depending on if it’s cow or bison.
@Pluto-ek3mh it does take discernment to find what best suits you in all food and life experience. The chef makes a difference as well. Bison Meat should be gently cooked and more towards rare, in my opinion. But that's for me. Everyone has their preferences. My children are very likely to eat it raw. I need a little searing on both sides, but it's their choice. Life is interesting when everyone enjoys what is best for them and allows others to experience what is best for themselves. Freedom with discretion is essential in life. Enjoy what makes you happiest. ♥️
@@carolkellgren8386 I completely agree. Nobody should have to confine their opinions to the social standard as long as it's harmless to those around them. I like my burgers medium-well and my bison burgers medium because bison tends to have more color than a burger. I like some pink in there to keep it from being super chewy :)
@Pluto-ek3mh good choice, and I agree. There's something to be said for having what you enjoy and knowing that it will be easy to eat. I'd rather have it slide down my throat like ice cream than like passing a kidney stone! Boy, that one hurt! ♥️
@Adventures With R&R at least an Oldsmobile or Pontiac was built to handle the job! They were big heavy cars that protected their passengers! I miss those big, heavy cars with a smooth ride. Don't give me the miles per gallon argument. My dad said that he knew a man who had made a carburetor in the 1940s that could give any car a 60 mile a gallon rate back then. The auto industry bought it, gave him money, and a chain of gasamats. They shelved the carburetor so they could sell more gas at higher prices. I'm pretty sure they have bought emission solutions that are shelved forcing people to buy electric cars that most people can't afford to pay off in their lifetime! Not to mention all the cost to put in charging stations, and you know the cost of electricity will increase beyond gas priced due to "research and production costs. American greed, aren't we blessed? I hope our grandchildren can still breathe without all the health problems in their future. But I wonder how many will be walking or forced to take public transportation. Maybe the day of owing a good horse will come back? That would be great but cold in the winter. I should be dead by then with any luck, but I still have family to be concerned about. May God bless and protect us!
never understood why ice cream and fire on top ( you wouldnt have ice cream it would be melted never put 60 candles on a Small DQ ice cream cake candles melt first and its a inferno 😃
