After Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) asks about Jimmy (Jesse Luken), who's gone, Coover (Brad William Henke) throws a rat and says something rude, but Dickie (Jeremy Davies) stops the trouble, bids farewell, mentioning Raylan's hat.

Deputy Raylan Givens has his own, Wild West-style methods of upholding justice, putting him at odds with the criminals he hunts and with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service. And an incident prompts his reassignment to the Kentucky district where he grew up. The character is based on one created by author Elmore Leonard in several books and short stories.

I have an ex from Kentucky who used to try to describe to me what it was like down there. I'm from New York so I thought I grew up in a rough setting, he would tell me that it was much rougher in the hills and hollers of Kentucky. When this show came out I realized what he was talking about

That's incredibly bad advice. Coover would likely end up dead, because either Rachel kills him, or he kills her then Raylan kills him. Even if everyone is only wounded, he'll be under arrest for assaulting a US Deputy Marshal.

@pnut3844able You are thinking of Jamie Davis who plays Dickien Daniel Faraday, and Baldur Coover is played by the late Brad William Henke. He played in the NFL I want to say between 1989 and 1994. He was in a Superbowl XXIV with the Denver Broncos against the San Francisco 49s (49s won). He played Tony Tucci (a survivor of the Ice Truck Killer) in Dexter, Bram (a member of Jacob's team) in Lost, Frank (the guy who defaced Pam's mural and fought with the boom operator) in the Office, and his most famous role as Officer Desi Piscatella (a major antagonist in season 4 and 5) in Orange is the New Black.

Her class and way of carrying herself in any situation just illustrates to us how horrendously underplayed Rachel Brooks was a character. She had minimal lines and STILL managed to outshine Raylan on a good day :D

You're not wrong, but let's call it as this; my 'entertainment' is how well they do hit it on the head. Looking beyond what most would poke fun at and seeing how the actors grasp the emotions that the professionals most likely would be feeling at that point. Here Raylan looks like he's not taking the situation seriously, but you can tell by the way he carries himself he's ready to shift gears the moment either of them steps out of line. He puts himself between Rachel and the Bennetts because he knows his history with them makes him their primary target. His few glances back are just to ascertain Rachel's position and readiness to act. The moment the camera shifts to her, you know the game's ready to be called.

I have enjoyed this show, about every season, however the stage prop manager hasn't a clue as to just how nice this yard looks. This is not even close to reality. Everything so shining, pretty, straight metal fences, no rust, nice drive... so the shooting the gun in the kitchen I get but the rest? I still like the show.
