Candy Chateau is the final world AND level of Rayman 1. You can only get to here after finding and smashing open all of the Electoon cages in this game. Don't worry about finding any more in this level, though.
Each of Candy Chateau's 3 regular areas come with their own dangerous challenge that Rayman must overcome while progressing through them. The first area has Rayman slide/snowboard his way through the course while riding on a giant frying pan. Jump over any bottomless pit you see, as well as the bodies of syrup you come across, because Rayman will just sink in it like it was deep water. This won't take too long as long as you don't jump at the wrong time against slopes.
The second area is much more thrilling, as Mr. Dark appears to create a clone to chase after you. The catch is that this Dark Rayman copies every single thing you do about 1 second after you do it. So you can't really every beat him until you beat the area itself. ALSO! If both of you ever touch, both of you die!
The third and last regular area of this stage actually has two more challenges, and both involve Mr. Dark screwing with your controls, so you can't see them too well in this video, but notice the sparkles twirling around Rayman's face when they happen.
The first half (more like the first two thirds) of the third area has you get through it with your horizontal control switched around, meaning Left is Right and Right is Left.
The second half (more like the last third) has Mr. Dark lock you on your Running power. You not only can't stop running, but you also can't turn to the left. So all you can really do while this is happen is JUMP!
You lose the second curse when Mr. Dark appears near the ! Sign at the end. Go for and prepare your self to take him on as the final boss of the whole game...
...or so he would seem to be, anyway...
