The Gameplay looks nice so far, so do the graphics but my only problem is, Rayman talks too much, he never talked this much in the original game

Please consider removing Rayman's effort sounds *while* he is climbing or going across a roof. It's very distracting.

take your time! the wellbeing of the team is more important than a rushed demo release date. game development is a lot of work, and by making sure all the members are happy and refreshed, it makes the finished product better for everyone. I've not commented before but have been following the development of this game for the past few years, and seeing how far its come makes me so excited to see what's in store. Thank you to the entire team who have taken time to create this remake, as a rayman fan since i was a kid & having rayman 2 as my favourite game, it means a lot to see this project thriving especially given the state of the franchise at the moment. The gameplay, assets, style, music and voice acting is looking fantastic, i cannot wait to play for myself whenever you guys think the demo is ready to be released! thank you all again :)

Game is looking great, keep listening to the community's advice and it will be a banger. I think we all can wait a few more for the demo, so dont rush and keep up the good work!

A little sad for the delayed demo but no worries, I'm still thankful that you guys are taking your time for making this project beyond our expectations! This is unbelievable to think Rayman 2 would be remade by skilled fans and we figure how this game had a significant impact during our childrood and VG industry. Keep it up everyone!

This is the first time I am finding out about this project. This looks amazing! My feedback from only this little snippet is how the sounds from lums and Rayman himself seem very "intrusive" or tuned up a bit too much. There is a reason the original sounds are short and not too loud (or too often). Just my two cents! Great job on this.

When I saw the gameplay, my whole body started shaking. I'm so hyped, I can't wait to play this masterpiece! Take the time you need. Don't make the same mistake as AAA Publishers!

Looking better and better with every update. A bit of a feedback, when picking up lums there is a lot of echo to it. It sounds lovely but when you pick up a lot of lums after each other it can become annoying, consider a shorter sound effect or a steeper falloff. I would only use longer sound effect for Green Lums since they are checkpoints and always by themselves. Also could you make Green Lum sound effect a bit deeper and more "whirly"/"noisy"? It sounds too clean. Doesn't sound like a checkpoint to me. Keep in mind how often a player picks up different lums. Reds tend to be spammy

It's fine to delay the demo for a bit but don't wait too long! Don't wait until it's perfect or we'll never get a demo! We understand it won't be perfect, we just want something to play around with, and to show where you are in the progress!

i am glad to see that you guys are going for quality before quantity, unlike some other companies. it is sad that the demo is delayed but it is good to hear that it is worked on and avoiding mistakes of the past

Looks amazing as always, the only thing I don't like is how... Verbose Rayman is? The commentary isn't too bad if it paces down later on, but the effort sounds definitely need a tweak.

Unsure how much will change but character's grunts should be "rarer", it gets uncomfortable to listen to after a short while. And character monologuing over everything seems against the game's atmosphere. Please consider this critique, otherwise I'm very enthusiastic about the progress!

The game is lookin crispy. If the entire game ends up looking and sounding like that, I will be one happy boy. I would rather see a polished product over a poor imitation any day. Have no problem with this demo delay!

I'm guttered that there will be no demo this year but times a good price to pay for a project this enthusiastic. The game looks amazing, you're doing a great job

Not a very good showcase, honestly. I want to see Rayman jumping around and running, not walking slowly like its a The Last of Us or God of War demo showcase. And most importantly, tone down Rayman's grunts by like 90%, and he shouldn't be thinking out loud AT ALL during gameplay. Ill do say that the graphics look just as great as I was expecting. Take all the time that you need for development! Good luck!!

I literally played the original rayman 2 over and over when I was a kid. Had no idea about this project, but sounds awesome! When I tried replaying it last time on an emulator I got motion sick from the frame-rate I think 😅

No offense, but please drop the "protagonist narrating his every thought during gameplay" thing. It's just so annoying.

For what it's worth I completely support your decision to delay the demo release to 2025 for all the perfectly plausible reasons stated in this development update video. I would much rather wait patiently for a potential spectacularly crafted final project than a pointless rush job hence clearly no publisher is putting any money into this project whatsoever. All the more reason to capture the nostalgic feel of Rayman 2 The Great Escape in a new light with a fresh vibe. The gameplay footage looks like it presents either a partial re-interpretation of The Woods Of Light/The Clearing or a completely brand new intro level of its own type. Whichever the case is, it's a pretty interesting level design structure for what it has to offer. The only problem I have is the soundtrack partially getting drowned out by the underwater audio effects, which in addition was an aspect that low key pissed me off about Sonic Generations as it just felt so pointless hence soundtracks deserve to be properly appreciated at their utmost especially during gameplay. Just a bit of constructive criticism, but I understand whatever final decision the team makes with the amount of work put into this project in the first place. New voice actors portray the characters pretty well, which is a bonus in terms of making the project as authentic and faithful to the original counterparts of the game as possible. This project is gonna be proper sick! 😎👌💯🎮

It's very cool! I really like the improvement and the remake visuals you guys are going for! A small improvements I would give is a little vfx of water when Rayman slides on the water would give more juiciness to the mechanic!

Looks amazing! I love how much the helicopter and ceiling climb animations look and feel like Rayman 3. I don't like the Lum sound so much. Needs to be faster and dirtier, maybe EQ filtered. In my opinion, anyway. I'm nostalgia biased, because that one sound effect stuck in my head the most after I played the Dreamcast demo. The dynamic music sounds awesome in this snippet! I like the new tracks that still capture the vibe of the old ones. Seeing this much of the game so far has truly been worth the wait, and I know the demo next year will be too.

I'm sure spending many many months building an unlicensed rayman game using the same IP without permission won't backfire in any way.

Willingly or unwillingly, the way the game graphics are evolving at a rapid pace makes me hope for more and more content since our expectations will definitely NOT be disappointed at this rate even though you guys might think otherwise, keep it up!!! 👍😎

I'm sure the new voice actors are good and talented, but Rayman 2 doesn't really sound like Rayman 2 for many people (most people i bet) without the gibberish language.

Please do NOT pay attention to some of these idiotic comments. This looks amazing, and the directions and voices are amazing. I'd love to see a different take on Rayman 2 and changing up some of the level design instead of playing the same game again.

I'm kinda not loving the direction this seems to be heading. I feel like there is heavy emphasis on graphical fidelity, while completely ignoring fundamental stuff like a blob shadow, or proper animation blending. I'd expect a slightly better player controller before high poly vine meshes, personally. The gameplay footage feels highly "scripted" in the sense that the person playing is very deliberately trying to sidestep some less favorable aspects, like the anim blending and stopping on a dime looking strange. On another note, the art direction feels very generic, with the grass and rocks looking straight out of a Spyro remake or Super Lucky's Tale or something. Same with the water. This stuff looks like purchased assets that aren't meant for the art style of Rayman 2. There's a lot here that has me worried. Hope to see some stuff sorted out in the future. Edit - changed my comment because I thought there was no roll anim, but looking at older vids there was one? Honestly there is older footage where the animation seems more accurate, what gives?

It's too much different from the original game..the different soundtrack,the changed gameplay,new level sections,Rayman talking during the level...it's a very respectable work in any case, but I'm not in a hurry to see it come out

I like the gibberish voices in rayman more than actual spoken dialog its a turn off in my opinion and I like when they had their own language.

I respect all the work and I have alot of respect for VAs but as a fan of the original I have to be honest the added voice lines pulls me out. There is something special about the original sound bites for characters. Banjo Kazooie wouldn't be the same without that style and Rayman is very much the same. Hiring VAs is just adding to budget and time that doesn't makes sense for this game. Im all for Hiring talent and support your decision to I just wanted to be honest.

I don't like VA version of Rayman and no offense I don't think this voice fits, like he's trying to sound like Goku?. But if you must use VA then the voice is too in my ears, it should sound further away like the rayman jumping and climbing voice sound effects are

Why do all remakes have this doughy plastic look to them. I miss when 3d games had some dark grit in their graphics. Why cant we just have the original style scaled up? This looks like disney infinity.
