Fantastic work! One thing I've noticed though is that the jumping feels very "heavy", it's like Rayman's falling velocity is too fast compared to the original :)

Yea, I thought at first that this is due to my gravity formula, but after playing around with some values, I believe I just made the gravity acceleration too high. After making it lower, I think I have something that looks much better and resembles the original game closer :)

Dude, you explain everything so well. I'm really glad I came across your youtube channel. As for your question to the should you explain more about the C++ side of things, I mean to be honest I think your in the sweet zone between too much explaination and not enough explaination so you're doing absolutely fine on that. And your video editing is amazing too, being able to tell your development process while also keeping people engaging is really good man. Glad you also threw in some jokes here and there too. Im glad you also referenced your Udemy course too, I'll also check that out. Whats your favorite Rayman 3 level btw?

He is less floaty because of my gravity formula. My gravity acceleration is linear, while in real life it is not, at least that's what I think is going on. This is something I intend to fix in the future. Now that I think of it, I agree that it would have been a good idea to mention this in the video

For the .blend files that you got from the pirate community website, which animations from the .blend files specifically did you use to incorporate Rayman's basic movement. I'm asking because I want to play around with trying to incorporate this kind of movement in Roblox. Thanks in advance!

Hey, unfortunately I can't really help here. The animations are not named, so I had to comb through all the animations to find the ones I needed. It's a tedious process, but there is really no way around it.

Too realistic light, the artistic touch is missing here. I preferred the gradients from the original as here : 1:11 I would go for a compromise, bump up the geometry, add new textures, add normal maps and possibly displacement in places and even parallax occlusion. As for the light I would look for a sweet spot between the gradients from the original and realistic light. The original has a nicer vibe and it's not too dark in certain places.
