Rays fans react to new $1.3 billion stadium proposal 

They need a stadium with A/C like the Rays have.

All of a sudden St Pete has 300 mil, the County has 300 mil AND Stu wants to invest 700 mil in a place he has tried to run from for almost a decade? WHY was any of this in play over the last 10 years? St Pete told them they didn't need them and so did Stu...so...I'll believe it when they have their 1st opening day there...Bay Area been hustled too many times and the folks being displaced will not be homeless as a result (the "affordable housing" starts @ over $2000 a month)

I keep hearing from others who live there it should have been built in Tampa.

I live in Lakeland, it's just too far with gas 3.60 a gallon... Builder in Tampa off 75 by USF!

It would have made better since to build the new stadium in TAMPA!! The attendance would be a hell of a lot better than in st.pete. this is a big mistake, and the attendance will be the same once the new stadium opens.

The Billionaire corporation that owns the Ray's, can pay 100% of the cost themselves. They better not dare ask the Tax payers to pay a penny of the cost.

Might as well call them the st Pete rays

I am no longer a rays fan I am a braves fan

I support AAA team and even that is getting expensive.
