@@chinthalaadireddy2165 "Michel Van Biezen" has lots of great science videos, and a lot of them are about electronics. He is also a very likeable teacher, and it is very clear that he genuinely enjoys teaching things to people.

Does professor Razavi have videos on basic electronics such as capacitors and inductors. I need to refresh on the basics also. ??? Can anyone recommend a youtube training series of good quality like this channel.

This playlist by Ravel Ammerman seems very good: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IRgZ-puZjfA.html Also, the book "Fundamentals Of Electric Circuits" by Alexander & Sadiku is great.

He misspoke just a little bit at 26:28 and called the D3 diode "D2". No big deal though, it is very clear what he meant there.

There should be a slight correction for the negative half cycle of Vin, Vout = -Vin + 2Vdon. I assume the professor missed to switch the Vin sign while doing KVL.
@suvojitdas2240
@suvojitdas2240 Год назад
No that will be wrong ....because you are taking negative value of Vin and again switching that will be the same case as of the first case

I have a question here , when the alternating source is flipped meaning in negative half cycle , Why the professor did not change the polarity of source so negative is upper and positive is lower ?
@ahmedtaha9250
@ahmedtaha9250 8 лет назад
+Hossam Ibrahim I have the question I really get confused
@laagy2446
@laagy2446 8 лет назад
+Hossam Ibrahim In that case, Vin has a negative value. If the professor changed the polarity of it, the value of Vin would be the same as the first case has.

You can do that. But that adds confusion. You are calling the voltage negative and then again you are flipping the source...That can make you commit mistake while writing circuit equations

why replace diode with battery?
@liuweikang7678

Hi friends, can anybody explain how the two diodes turn on when a capacitor is connected in the middle.... I really got confused, Thx you all ~
@liuweikang7678
@liuweikang7678 6 лет назад
Because I think that it is an open circuit with the capacitor....
@vixx_my_life4724
@vixx_my_life4724 6 лет назад
initially the capacitor is not charged(so the operation is same as the resistor) and the voltage across it is zero and the diodes are connected between the voltage source (with some voltage which increases gradually with time) and the capacitor (with 0V). so the p-side of the diode is connected to voltage source which is more positive than the capacitor voltage which is connected to the n-side of the diode. so when the input voltage is more than cutin voltage of diode the diodes turn on.
