The Reserve Bank of India on January 31 directed Paytm Payments Bank to stop deposits, credit transactions, or top-ups in any customer accounts, prepaid instruments, wallets, FASTags, NCMC cards, etc after February 29, 2024, other than any interest, cashback, or refunds which may be credited anytime.

Dear rbi, many small shops and workers use paytm payment box how r they going to know such news ? This news is not even shown in regional news channels, please ask channel news to everyone so that everyone can act at time instead of last minute hurry...

Such an Inconvenience caused to the ordinary person and small businesses. Adani was exposed at an international level but they hardly did anything. SEBI was exposed to being run by a Hinalayan yogi- still no questions asked. They’re crushing a booming business. Such irony!

paytm bank is as good as closed, there will be a bank run starting today, stupid RBI has failed as a regulator. now they have to pay deposit insurance to all the savings bank account holders, wallet holders will loose the money, fast tags are useless.

irresponsible action from RBI.... they can simply destroy a company by issuing an A4 sheet paper.... but can they build some thing like this as simple as that ???? They could have imposed some fine as a warning instead of destroying the company as a whole..... Worse kind of bureaucracy

RBI already fined for this reason and they given many warning to complain on KYC .If there is no action taken from bank,the only thing RBI can di is to close the bank. This is applicable to any bank or financial services like fastag, wallet etc.

Stop fake news. This is an ongoing issue in Paytm for over 18 months. There are pages and pages of RBI questionnaire and Paytm accepted all wrongs & agreed to fix it. Get educated instead of spreading fake news,.

In a country which had run up almost 10 lakh crores of NPA, where Hindenburg , washed off billions of shareholders wealth, it surprises when few cases of non-compliance on the KYC or similar omissions could lead to strangling of a financial institution which has proved itself as one of the successful startup in India. Earlier we had similar example when Air Deccan was strangled, which caused it to do distress sale. It looks like India is not for startups. In this country only oligarchs can thrive. No wonder the HNI are migrating.
