Headed out on oct 29th 2022 to take a ride behind Reading and Northern 2102 between reading and Jim Thorpe and return. The fall foliage was just at peak time for the area, and it was a brisk fall morning and once we got north of Tamaqua the 02 started to slip real hard, coming into east mahanoy junction we were down to less then walking speed. With the booster fully cut in the crew was able to gain control of the train and take back off to track speed once again with out needing the diesels to assist that were following the train.
