Little truck can certainly take some abuse! I'm impressed it lasted as long as it did. I thought for sure a few of those hard end-over-end flips were going to trash something.
I loved the jumping bit at 3:45 :) Hilarious. Great video. Today I managed to break my son's Traxxas Skully without driving it. I drove a friend's Vaterra Something and crashed into the Skully. Caster block snapped and this will be my first aluminum upgrade. Going stock to upgrade means adding digits IN FRONT of the comma. Sheesh. Rock collecting would be a much cheaper hobby.
I bought a cheep 1/16 MT a while back, Little thing is a monster running a 4S stock. I broke the wheelie bar so there is a very fine line between a wheelie and a back flip lol.
hey medic i just wanted to tell you that you got me back in to RC after a 6 year standstill :) ive just orderd parts for my kyosho mad force whit an OS 30 engine in it
Awesome Medic watching this gave me a crazy idea for you ...... Have a FPV race with drivers on the drivers podium facing the water or in the garage ... Lol
That thing looks like a ripper! Seems like you are putting it through its paces. Liked the little follow up jump you did yourself. Reminds me of your "Running video " from way back ;) Any upgrades or breakages other then the big joes?
one of the toughest trucks i have ever owned. Launched it off a ramp got 15 ft high and went 15 feet long. Landed and did that several times in negative Fahrenheit temps and still no breakage
If you want one that's fun, check out DHK rc cars from hobby people. They go on sale a lot and sometimes sub $150. I got a DHK Wolf 2 for $100 and it's a fun buggy.
Awesome bashing video bro, great jumps and you after it lol. Great video Medic that Hpi XS can sure take a beating. Keep it up brother you bring out the RCing in us. 👍
I have just got a savage xs flux and I am running it on 3s and it is really fast and easy to control today me and my dad took it out on my dirt bike track and it was great
hi mate, great video as always. I have to agree on the dogbones, although I've broken two aftermarket universals and am going to try with dogbones now but it doesnt sound too promisining! Can you tell me what wheels those are? Also, I never hosed down a car as though it would rust some parts, no?
Medic, if I wanted a 4wd, waterproof Rc, what would u recommend first? scx10 or savage xs flux? I already have a slash. and does the size of the xs savage make driving it not all that fun?
Hi to Canada! Me and my Boy (2,5yrs) love your Shows and of course RC cars... now owning a savage flux hp and the xs... and as you are the pro here, i always wanted to know... How do you Mount your GoPro on your cars - especially in this vid, when the whole car is Spinning sidways, the cam holds perfectly still... i tried with some suction Mount, but of course it fell off very soon, and the soft Body let it shake pretty much... so any advice?? :) thx from Austria..
I have 2 of these trucks. one for me and my son. these are the perfect little RC trucks. they are incredibly powerful. 3s is almost too much in these. Standing backflips, wheelies, high speed runs through the mud and grass are all possible. They are incredibly tough. When they do break, it is always very cheap and easy to fix, even while out in the field. This truck fits perfectly in a backpack. I take the truck, the controller, spare batteries, spare parts, and a tool set altogether in a regular backpack to the park with the kids. Once I know the kids are doing good on the playground, I'll get my truck out and run it around. It usually takes about 5 minutes or so until the first Dad starts coming around and asking questions. I swear I could sell these things out of the back of my car if I just had a few of them every time I went to the park. Before I know it I am surrounded by a small group of parents enjoying the show. I would absolutely recommend this truck.
Medic! ?Big fan of your stuff. Love the videos. What would you recommend for a beginner for an affordable (sub 500$CAD) electric rig? I bought a nitro one to start but it seems i have more downtime with it than uptime even though it is winter....
+Cole Legare To make it easy for you my friend.. anything I have shown on RC ADVENTURES is something I suggest. Too many variables to give an opinion: IE, Fast or Slow, Technical or Bashing, 2 wheel or 4? 2wd or 4WD? all of these I have covered, so feel confident when choosing one from the show :)
Have you tried any other tire/ wheel combos, my nephew just bought the original sav xs and the stock tires and rims are garbage. When we ordered his truck we ordered Traxxas Maxx 2.8" on rim with offset. We bought em cuz the 3.8" on the E-Maxx were good tires. But the problem is they rub on the frame when he turns, we have tried some 2.2" that wont fit because of the Knuckle. Any suggestions from anyone well besides the big Joes? I see they are on Pro-line rims with an offset too. Tough little truck though and it a rocket for it's size, just hard to figure out which tires work the best since it's still only a couple of weeks old. We ordered 1/16 Trencher 2.2 M2 Desperado whl from Amazon and hoping they will fit We have tried 2.2 slingshots with the desperado rim and they fit since the measurements are very close to the stock tires, so our fingers are crossed. We were wondering on axle extensions but not sure because we have never used them so we don't have to find someone to buy the Traxxas tires.
Medic, I have a question... I bought one of these for by Birthday in a month. It is 2nd hand but it's basically a whole different car because the guy I bought it off of upgraded it SO much... It was £350... : / Was that a good move? He claims it has roughly £450 of upgrades but I don't know what else he has done to it... When I receive it in the post, I'll post a video just so you could possibly have your say with knowing what it looks like... Thanks!
Oh yeah, I was going to ask you about your opinion on the Tacon ranger rally car, I am going to get it but I want some good advice before I purchase. I would be awesome if you could tell me what you think of it:) thanks a bunch:)
i know this is 8 year old body, but i just picked up the ford raptor body for my xs flux and came across this video. Noticed in your on board camera footage the truck has no body mounting pins, whats that all about?
hey medic? if u could please answer this i would love it.. I've looked everywhere and I cat find anything... on Mr sidewinder 3 it says it can take up to 15 volts. a 4s lipo is 14.8 so could I technically run a 4s lipo on a sidewinder 3 when it says 3s max? in the internet it says stuff about using a 3500 kv but I have a 4500 kv as of right now.. so the question is can I put a 4s lipo into a sidewinder 3 and not have the sec or motor melt?...
RU-vid - "Your video appears to be shaky. Want us to stabilize it?" Medic - "If I wanted a stable video, I'd drive slower! But come on! Where's the fun in that?!?!" Awesome little truck there! Keep the shaky!
it sounds a tad crunchy in its gears, or is that just how they all sound? does it need to be oiled/cleaned? my old 2WD Slash sounds fairly similar but i think that is mostly in the Brushed motor. BTW if anyone has a slash give it a decent 2S Li-po i just got a Turnigy Nano tech 5.8Ah 30C to replace my blown 3300mAh Traxxas power cell and oh my gosh i cannot believe the power and the runtime i have with it!!! the motor does get a tad warm, but drive it pretty steady and in cool (
i love ur vids, keep up the good work, i like these bash type of vids much more than ur rock climbing :) they are all super fun to watch tho, ur vids also inspired me to get a slash 4x4 but can u recommend a type of motor cleaner that would work on a slash 4x4 bone stock?
medic, i commented on one of your videos a few days about two rc cars i have that are broken down. one being completely shot and the other is a new bright rc ford f-150 xlt and its making a grinding noise when it is off the ground but when it is on the ground it doesnt make the noise but it speeds up slowy. any solutions?
