I just found your channel! My husband and i have been in to RC cars, planes, helis and boats since we was both 10 to 11 years old (he was a sponsored driver for Team Losi, Trinity, Novak, Airtronics for many years back in the XX and XX-T days) We today are both sponsored 3d Heli and 3d plane pilots and he is sponsored still by Team Losi and Trinity racing off road 10th scale and 8th scale. Boats are our number one RC love, it's fun to us to sit down and prep props... Most hubby and wife's have a movie night lol our "movie night" is setting down with a couple RAW props and balancing and polishing and sharpening them to perfection. We just rigged out a 62 inch cat that's running twin 16S power systems. We set it up with some custom made trim tabs that we used a couple MKS Brushless cyclic servos that we had laying around to make power trim tabs that work a hoot. We mixed trim in to throttle and rudder (using a Futaba 7PXLE and ran a couple packs and adjusted the mix to give us trim based on throttle and it works amazing... Then we mixed in trim with rudder to give it some down trim in once we reached a certin point of rudder input. We have done power trim setups on nitro .21 outboard and on brushless outboard but never did power trim tabs before. I can not believe how flipping amazing this setup works it was a test and we didn't expect to much from it but was totally wrong it makes a far over powered boat totally a pleasure to run. We are running 4X 4s 6700mah 80c packs in series a side. I have a question, this is our first cat that isn't Gas and we have never had a twin drive cat of any type. When we turn in the hull stays very flat and it turns great we are running counter rotating of course but what is happening and what made us dial in some rudder trim tab mix and it helped but it still happens maybe you can help. When we turn we start getting blow out of the outside prop (turning left) and when we come out the the throttle a little then ease back in it the blow out gets worse as the boat straightens out down the straight and for a split second when we get back on it the right prop will totally blow out at times. And we aren't driving like a light switch we are easing back in to it as we come out the turn and the blow out will happen here and there and when i say blow out i mean a complete blowout you can hear the prop come off load and spool up then bite again and the issues arise when the prop bites again sharply snatching the hull to the right. This happened really badly until we dialed in some trim tab to rudder mix keeping the hull very flat thru the turn so we aren't getting any lifting of the right side that's causing the blow out. It would happen on pretty much every turn pre trim/rudder mix and now it happens maybe 1 time out of 5 laps. This is a big oval track so the turns are long sweeping turns so we aren't turning hard and upsetting the hull. It's hard to exactly explain it, i will film a run and upload it if you reply to me so you can see what's happening ... It sucks because its a matter of time before it bites us at the wrong time causing us to hit another boat (we are not running with anyone on track but some times that's just not possible). The boat doesn't hook around or anything it just yanks you off your line to the right pretty violently throwing us say 35 to 45 degrees to the right in the blink of an eye. We have checked the linkages, checked the rudder servo, ESCs are on two channels mixed together (the boat tracks like it's on rails so it's not a mis match in esc programming) it's almost like the prop gets a air bubble around it and totally stops making thrust the boat quickly starts tracking left when that happens then the right prop bites again and yanks us to the right in the blink of an eyes. That's the best way i can explain it. And it doesn't happen with any consistancy it's totally random (before the trim tab to rudder mix it was totally consistent and would happen nearly every turn.) We invested a lot of money in this boat and it performs amazingly but has one major issue that we can not figure out and it's really upsetting to us. Ill video it and if you reply ill upload a video of it, along with a video showing our setup and rigging. I really hope you can get back to me and help me dial out this huge issue. Thank you very much!

Yes please video of the boat on a stand and you working the rudder. If I;m correct your trim tabs and rubber are working together..... but the first thing I need to know is .......what prop what strut (surface drive) (submerged drive) stuff like that .....just a picture of the boat will help. Have you swapped sides with the props both pulling from center can cause problems. Two blade, three blade, five blade the list goes on Thank you so much for watching get me a picture of the boat or a video and I will be very happy if I can help.

No not yet as soon as we run it I'm going to post a video we're still trying to get the balance of the boat workout with the batteries we're debating on going 2 4S or 4 2s. Thank you very much for watching
