Great setup vid! Dang B, we really like the same boats! I got a DF29, 3674, 2200KV, 4s, M445 prop. It's a rippin' boat! The runtime is ridiculously long with this boat, really fun to drive! Your boat is the same. The setup on the trims follows any deep V hull I think. How you plan on running the boat is huge too! Circle track vs. SAW runs are world's apart. I like you kept this mainly to good circle track or fun running!
Awesome vid bro. Extremely informative. We need more people to adopt to teaching as they learn. Its not rocket science. Its just knowing how to adjust the right way. Good stuff. More vids on current issues please. Great content.
Thanks mate, you've just told me everything I wanted to know.! I've got about 40+ RC cars of all types & sizes but I've never had a boat. Every summer for like the last 4 years I've told myself tget myself one, but always ended up getting another car.! Any, my Volantex Vector SR80 just arrived this morning, I've just finished checking all the bolts & screws & now I'm getting ready to take her out for the maiden voyage... I'm starting off on 3S before running 4S.! I've been running cars for so long & I've had so many of them that I rarely get excited about a new one unless it's something really special like an Infraction or a UDR.. I'm actually super excited about this boat, it's very impressive just sitting on the bench, it seems very solidly built & has nice alloy parts on it.. I'm going to go to the bother of taking my Gopro with me because I have a feeling this is going to be something I want to remember.! 😉 😉. Anyways, subbed & liked & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋🛥 🛳!
awesome video as always sir, just picked up a sonicwake v2 and trying to learn about how to make changes to get it to run the way I want it to. seems to take a whole to get on plane and have next to no steering untill its on plane .. either way great information will have to get out there tomorrow and give it another shot
Great channel, Great videos, very informative. Keep up the fantastic work 👊 💪 Question. Do trim tabs need adjusting every time the boat is taken out? For example, changes in water conditions and wind? Or once set, they are more or less set for life ?
Thank you very much , you are awesome and helped me get my new arrow 5 beginners boat squared away. I am new to boats and you know your craft and have saved me alot of money I'm sure. CHEERS !
Steering trim along with trim tab adjustment is required or you can’t fully trim out your boat. My point….if you trim your boat for full out top speed smooth in a straight line then want to run at a slower speed then your boat will not track straight. A neutral trim tab is best for all around running. …I got off topic, sorry. This comment is just to tell people that as you change trim tab settings there are other variables to address….tabs cause drag more than they create “lift”….it’s not as simple as up and down, there is left and right and balance.
This is very helpful, I have been struggling with torque roll, I've even used a gyro receiver but this was causing stability issues at high speed. Maybe I should have thought about the trim tabs before 🤦🏻♂️
Careful with those zeee batteries bud, those are the batteries that I got online, when they came in I threw them on charger and one blew up and burnt my shop down.
Hey Iron clad great videos, I'm a new subscriber and I just bought a Pro boat Sonic Wake v1 for my son. I noticed that it doesn't have the trim tab adjusting screws are those available for this boat? Thanx, it's because passionate people like you that make things more fun.
