More!!! Just more driving tips like this. Focus on exciting, rhythm sections, passing, making room for father drivers, racing etiquette from a pros perspective, scrubbing, hard braking after large jump to make corner.....anything and everything....bring it. Love to hear driving discussed especially from pros and alternate views. Love to here another pro give same lesson.

I just love this series and this is one of the best parts yet. I mean how many beginners ask themsemselves: Is it OK to feel like completely stopping before a 180? Is it OK to not jam on the brakes on at all in a wide sweeper? How important is a good landing before a corner? This video answers it all. Great job, thumbs up! Greetings from Germany

How about a video, "A lap with _____ (insert pro's name)" where you follow a pro racer taking several laps at a local track and he discusses how he uses throttle, brake and steering to get around the course then puts it all together lap after lap? Similar to this but for an entire lap 👍 Maybe some setups tips as well.

Setup becomes critical... tires/suspension will have major effect on how effectively you can break and control around a 180... I'd LOVE to see a similar video similar to this, but integrate some setup decisions to enable the driver's style... in ebuggy... I tend to have a loose rear end and I'm still learning to correct that... keep doing these, please!!!

Hey Ryan, great video. I would love to see a second camera mounted to the transmitter showing the throttle/brake and steering inputs on the LCD screen while a pro like Lee does several laps. You can put the second video in the bottom corner showing the LCD screen while the primary camera is the typical head mount tracking the buggy...that would be so helpful! Oh and his ESC configurations too ;-). BTW, I talked to you at Thunder Alley in NC a couple of weeks go. Thanks so much for stopping by!

So far I've seen the first four episodes and am quite pleased. I've been racing locally (local meaning mostly within a 75 mile radius since my closest track is about 40 miles away) for about 14 years now. Sadly, I feel that I've plateaued and am just maintaining. I hope the hints I've observed in these first 4 videos will help. I'll let you know. BTW, I'm not expecting much. Most of my track time is on carpet or artificial turf with 2WD and 4WD buggy. I do race some dirt with ebuggy and 4WD Short Course. I'm also almost 62, which is a significant challenge all unto itself. 🙂
@superstock9261
@superstock9261 2 года назад
What about the esc setup, so much of how the car handles comes from how the esc behaves off throttle as well. The 180 turns are a perfect example, having that perfect trail brake setup plays a huge role. Escs also have modern features which aide in managing how the chassis pitches and moves

Everyone mentions Dakotah but here’s the fact. He may be the fastest for one lap or even 5 minutes which makes him great in an electric race. But u wanna man up with the big boys and run 45 min to 1 hr, he’s never gonna win because he’s not consistent over the long haul. That’s why Maifield rules the long races. He’s just so so so consistent without crashing. U can count on Dakotah to crash in anything over 8 minutes. Maifield the man!!!

Smooth vs pivoting aggression styles of driving hits home with me, I think that can lead to some very good points on passing, blocking, and driver etiquette on the course (future vid?). I tend to race my 1/8 ebuggy smooth and my nitro buggy very “Scandinavian”, but depending on traffic I’ll pick n choose my style to either overtake or possibly defend my position (race line vs hot lap line). I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Great vid!

What I want to know is how do pro drivers maintain a consistent pace. When I look at my lap times, I'll have a fast lap maybe a second or two faster than my average lap time but a pro might have less than half a second difference between their fast and average lap times. What makes them so consistent?
@DizzyRL
