Stumbled upon this through RU-vid and found it on Amazon. Its most definitely a RC Toy, but the detail and the licensed body/livery is well worth the $80. It drives terrible..haha. Makes a great shelf queen. Here's the link:

That is a cool car! I have been watching F1 for 29 years and still love it! I intend to get one of these and put it on my shelf with the 1/8 scale 2008 McLaren Mercedes hand built by me. :)

I'm planning on getting one mainly for show, pretty good detail for the price. Real model grade ones for show are just crazy expensive

I agree with you, these officially licensed RC cars have great scale realism but the performance leaves a lot to be desired. But in reality, I think a lot of people buy them because they look like the real thing and not because they want ultimate performance. As you say, at that price you get a great display model and something that is fun as a toy grade RC car. I recently bought the new McLaren MCL36 F1 because it really caught my attention. The vibrant paint scheme and Lando Norris in the cockpit are a great combination. You can see my review at BlackSeaRC if you are interested.

Colocale una pila 3,7v recargable y va a volar deben ser todas recargables solo 1 si colocas 2 quemas el cicuito reseptor pasa de una vel 10km x hra a 15 0 20km es increíble la diferencia 😎

I just bought the new Rastar McLaren MCL36 F1 in 1:12 scale and I think it would make a very interesting upgrade project. The larger scale gives a bit more space for revised components and the car has a better opportunity to run more smoothly at higher speed (than a 1:18 scale version).

@@BlackSeaRC Awesome! I don't own an F1 but they are so cool looking. It would be nice to have a 1/10 or 1/8 scale F1 if there was such a car. I have no idea but going to a 1:12 scale should give you more options for parts and fitment of a larger battery and motor. I will definitely be checking out your new McLaren.

@@RCRoads At first I was a little disappointed that Rastar didn't make it in 1:14 scale to match the other cars in my collection but in reality, it sits alongside the other models quite nicely. F1 cars are quite long nowadays anyway so the scale difference is not so obvious. Plus, as you say, the larger scale allows the car to run a bit better. These F1 models have no proper suspension and are very low so I prefer the 1:12 scale over the 1:18 scale cars.

For the price it seems like a good buy. It would be nice if you could sort out the steering so it could make sharper turns and add some power but then I'd probably crash it. @@BlackSeaRC
