After the success of the MN128 Jeep upgrades, I decided to revisit the MN86 Mercedes RC.
This black truck is built from parts sourced from Aliexpress & Amazon.
* Black body with the interior painted light grey
* Metal driveshafts
* Metal links
* Full size steering servo
* 1.9" Beadlock metal wheels
* 1.9" rim, 90mm diameter tyres. Available on Amazon or Aliexpress
* 55T 540 motor using adaptor to standard gearbox
* Hobbywing 1060 ESC
* DumboRc transmitter
* 3D Printed servo & link mounts. Models on Thingiverse
* Aftermarket 62mm shocks
* Metal hex drives
* Driver figure is 150mm Black Widow
* Metal front bumper
* 3D printed number plates
* Basic LED light set

Mmm... G-Wagen! I had a friend who bought one of these "as is" at a 4x4 event for £600. The reason for the low price was that, at the time of purchase, the vehicle was stuck, halfway up a mountain, with a blown head gasket and a warped head. He put a 300D engine in it. It was painfully slow, but absolutely amazing off-road. It could easily outperform my bobbed 4-litre Range Rover in soft sand, mud, or on rocky, gravelly trails. Eventually it rusted away.

Shame it rusted away. It sounds like a real good off roader. I've never had any dealings with them myself. Just see the expensive ones outside the local Mercedees dealer. 🙄
