Todays video is helping out a fellow hobbyist in need to bring his 20 year old 6 time IFMAR champion Kyosho Inferno 7.5 back to ripping up the terra firma !
Thanks brother!! yea these were so advanced back then, I remember using the center diff and a .21 engine out of one and hacked it into one of my old Tamiya Bruisers, it was fast as hell but wouldn't turn for shit lol!
Yeah these are the top dog in my opinion I used to control mine off a 15 ft jump with the throttle/brake action to land it flat and crack it wide open for the next jump, loved running it, hopefully it will put some grins on his face seeing it go again!
Always feels good to help someone else. Good for you Dennis.👍 got a Tmaxx I’m bringing back from being sized after 4+yrs stored. The air filter came out smooshed like spider web. My friend had been running it with the crystal Htz radio. Upgrades coming to it. 😆. Take care.
Yes Sir!. How are you?, I’ve tried joint via phone last two Shows but been busy between those hours. I didn’t see a live one this past Tues!. Looking forward to the next one.
This is so much fun to watch. I have the same model wich have been forgotten the past years in our basement. I have the same issue with the engine and im in the process of trying to restore it. I hope i will succeed. Great video!
I remember when that exact buggy came out I wanted it so bad. Ended up getting a hyper 7TQ. Although I love the rims off the Inferno so bad I ran them on every single set of tires I own for it
Hi Dennis I’ve still got my old inferno copy of world champion car with a rare nitro engine from Ofna it’s got a auto graphed head on it I must have spent back then a good £2,000 pounds on this I don’t run it now in case it breaks.
Great one what you did to him is Nice I realize that probably many more disabled people That we could believe like nitro rc carsI chatted with a guy the other day he told me that the hardest part is having to start them but he really likes nitro models Traxxas makes models with starters integrated on board Would surely be easy to modify to use with the controller To start it remotely
Looks a lot like my old Caster ZR1...It ran away on me when it had it's first run up the street and turned turtle and burned up the engine, smashed up the spur and clutch all because of a faulty receiver...Big fan of fail safes now I'll tell ya.!!..And after-run oil.
I appreciate the help but i also have some projects id love to get your input on as ive ssen you use aluminum brakets to bolt in a few things or mite have access to help me make a motor mount and some other odds and ends do u have a Facebook page i could send you some pics of projects id like to get up and running
I used to have the burns as well but it was two wheel drive, i couldn’t afford the four wheel drive version, we only had the one class for them and I would regularly beat the four wheel drive cars, even in the wet, and they didn’t like it one little bit, lol 😝. When I saw what types of twats they were I stopped going, sold my burns and went electric ⚡️, never looked back, although I still bought nitro rc’s even to this day, I’ve got four Kyosho rs200s, a Kyosho ZR1 rear wheel drive rs200 basically, and a couple of Kyosho sand masters, btw, i had the very first Kyosho Ford rs 200 in the country in 1988? I think it was, after I read the review in Radio Race Car, I literally shit meself to get one, I hassled the model shop to hurry up and get them in stock, but they only got one and I got it. There’s just something about Kyosho nitro rc’s after that, i had to have them, just like Tamiya now, lol 😂. Niiiiiiiiiiice video Dennis and props for helping out your fellow hobbyist. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
I just noticed your post sorry for the delay brother! I always loved the Kyosho nitro's and the Tamiya electrics, I think the only Kyosho nitro I really had trouble with was the Nitro Brute, it self destructed with in a week lol!
That's a bummer bro, nothing worse than that! I had some dude grab mine onetime and he started running off with it so I held it wide open everyone was looking at him and he dropped it and bolted.
