yep! you're correct. I've flown wings with practically no vertical stabilizers, the only issue is at takeoff there isn't enough forward airspeed to guarantee proper yaw control. Though once you're at speed, any yawing is pretty much damped purely by the windward wing half creating more drag (and lift) than the other side.

I don't have a specific build guide, but having built a ton of planks over the years here are a few general rules: 1. don't make the airfoil too thick. if possible choose a flying wing airfoil and not a flatbottom. 2. cg inline w thrust, close as possible to the mean chord line 3. tend towards nose heavy -- tail heavy wings are not fun 4. try not to have too much vertical fuselage surface area ahead of the wing, this will impact turning and yaw in weird ways 5. tune your throws so that if you use elevons, aileron authority should be less than elevator, otherwise your rolls will be super twitchy 6. for small planes such as these (

I've literally never built a single foam scratchbuild so I'm out of my depth at the moment - but there's one way to learn, I guess! I need to find a basic guide for a simple foam airfoil and then just experiment, like you say. Thanks again - really appreciate the help.
