Hi I love this model boat its a masterpiece. I first saw it 5 years ago and fell in love with Bluenose. I was laid up after shoulder surgery and watched the re construction of Bluenose 2 in lunenburg Nova Scotia via a web cam and decided to build a model for myself.John Dowd in the uk has been a great help with many of the details turning a static model into a working RC model. I'm now at the rigging stage and I'm wondering if the sheets from the jib and flying jib are actually controlled by a winch or simply tied off in one position.
I have two , at first the jibs all worked off the same winch drum as the main and foresail. So they moved in and out together . But I found it was not necessary , so the jibs are now fixed , although I can alter them manually if needed .
