I have always wanted to do something more extreme with the Mogrich. It's a great scale model. But there are some many variants made & built it was too tempting.
This version from Unimog Italy really caught my imagination.
I have been building this off & on over 6 months. With only a recent push in the last couple of weeks. The tyres I only saw a couple of weeks ago. I was going to use some metal 1.33 wheels & chunky tyres, but these directional tyres were too good to miss.
* Standard Mogrich 1/18 Unimog RTR
* Painted orange
* FCX24 plastic axles
* Metal shocks
* Metal suspension links
* Metal driveshafts
* 3D printed wider arches
* 3D printed rear bed
* 3D printed beadlock wheels
* 1.0" rim Tyres from Aliexpress
* Modified FMS light kit
* 3D printed barn & garage
* 3.75" Indiana Jones figure

Thank you Del. I hoped you'd like it. The FCX24 axles seemed like they should have been on this Unimog from the start seeing as both designs were from FMS. But the portals took some mounting. I had to re-create the locations for the Unimog links with 3D printed brackets. Very fidddly. But I am happy with the result. The rear view looks very industrial now. The tyres really were a last minute find. But totally swung the deal for me. Editing the run video now. Thanks again Del.

@@RC3DPrintAdventure As Unimog do have portals, FMS should really have taken the trouble to eitber make a version of the axle housing which is compatible with the Mog, or to create the brackets which you designed and printed. Still, I think we can say that this is the coolest little Mog around - I'm eager to see the run video.

@@Del350K4 I agree that FMS missed a trick with FCX24 coming out so soon after the Unimog. But my win to have a rare Mogrich. I saw another on You-Tube but they used lots of DIY links & drilled holes into the chassis. I think the run video has already become a series!

@@RC3DPrintAdventure When modifying any vehicle, full-size or RC, I always think it's far more elegant to find a way to do it without hacking at the original vehicle. Your way, with the 3D printed brackets, is better than drilling to add loads of links.

@@Del350K4 Agreed Del. I try to find a way if I can that means I can always return to the original design. Either because I changed my mind at a later date or I just cocked it up & need a new plan! I'd also hate to devalue some of these vehicles as well. Full size or scale. The exception being painting.

May I ask how you got flashing roof lights as mine I only have front lights and reverse lights
