Thats so coool! You are so lucky. How much did it cost rrp at that time and also can you compare the equivalent of todays money infaltion also? Thank you and ride say. Also its been 9 years since your comment. I hope you are still alive and well 🙂😃
The one,the only RC30. For me there will be no other like it. The only one that comes close for firing my soul is the RS 250 racer. If I ever win the lotto, these will be the first two things I will buy.
Great bike, great video! The RC30 & RC45 are the best japanese bikes ever built. :) Powerful V4 engine, gear driven camshaft, beautiful single sided swingarm... Thanks for uploading this interesting video! 5* Greetings from Hungarian VFR Club! Sayonara!
Pure class!! love it, people can slag honda off all they want, but in my eyes, no other manufacturer comes close...remember the NR750?? underseat pipes...then came the ducati 916..and people think that ducati are the ones with all the style ans ideas lol..
Extremely graceful, like watching ballerinas dance. The Japanese culture of obsessive craftsmanship and refinement is without parallel. I hope there's a remastered version of this in 4K or HD. The VHS transfer and 10-year old video blur out too much.
I really loved the bike before watching Honda engineers giving birth to such a beauty. Fine hands for extreme delicate japanese art job. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome... takes me back to being 18 again.. lusted after a 30 so much... only took another 12 odd years before I got one... Thanks for posting this vid... Reggie
Absolutely awesome film, as a tribute to a well manufactured dream bike. This is the bike japan invents itself new back then. Sad that these bikes like the RC30, OW01 and of course RC45 never had a true follow up. Sayonara
Such history in this machine. I just hate it when people think Bubba Shibert used an RC30 in the 1988 AMA Superbike championship. It was Fred Merkel's 2 year old RC24. This and the Ducati 916 are motoring Genesis. They are the two wheeled versions of the Porsche 993 and McLaren F1.
Still is a beautiful bike ! Yes, they were really built this way, they was teams of HRC engineers picked for the task, they were assembled in the HRC works rather than the Hoda production facilitiy
Absolutely perfect machine! My all time favorite bike. It's 2022 and HONDA still have not built a worthy successor. Please, build a new 1000cc version of this amazing bike and go win sbk races.
I'm realy glad that Honda are going to start mking more V4 performance engines, I rode a vfr 400 and the engine was a peach, dull in the vfr 800, I want to see it in more road race bikes!
Being a Kawa fan myself, it's this videos that show that passion for making special bikes isn't all in Italy. Japanese have always been true craftsmen, driven by perfection. If you know how they did (and do) a samurai sword, you'll know. They don't always get it right, but when they do...
@razor650 They do - you just have to spend the $30k+ for them. The RC30 was expensive - in 1990 I remember them costing $16,500 (at the 1 dealer where they actually sold it). To put that in perspective, the GoldWing at the time cost around $7500.
que belleza..., el videoclip es perfecto..., la calidad de los constructores japoneses en su maxima expresion... you could upload the video to download better quality?please
Wow I had other information that 3708 units were produced..But yours is more authentic...What is the consensus about the best motorcycle Honda has ever produced? Is it this one? it did a 7:49.71 Nurburgring full lap on street tires at a time when even the best supercars could not come into 8s other than Jag and Mc F1
Anyone knows which is the first song of the video? The one that sounds while the bike is being assembled. The other one is Erik Satie - Je te veux, as adivsed in the below comments. Thanxxx!!!
me mate has one, he offered me a lap of the isle of man on it...i was too scared i mite have dropped it so declined...proper race bike...not a converted street race rep..
