In the Line Array area, you really can't find something better at this price point. 137db, 2x10 for mids and 1.4 hf driver +the rdnet compatibilty...Those things rock. 4 of these boxes per side + one SUB9006 per side and you can cover 2000+ people.
no kidding... i am down in ecuador and they put up these arrays at the drop of a hat...... at home i own some jblsrx800p's..... tthe 835 n 828sub......
Nice system you have, I’ve never worked with the RCF range myself and obviously listening on my head phones and the recording could never do the system justice but having the systems playing between two highly reflective metal truck body’s is not a good judge on a system , i can only imagine the comb filtering and anomalies caused .
the 30s @ close range seemed to have more pronounced mid highs for vocal clarity and the 20s up close were a bit muddy in that range . however as distance increased they seemed to find common ground in clarity in that vocal frequency. I would recommend 30s for close in club and smaller venues and in larger venues where distance is a factor, use 30s for downfill and 20s for longer range projection . But that's just me. If anyone else noticed this, please let me know. I do my own evaluations of gear but played in bands for years. Yes I am a drummer who owns PA but has to explain everything to his bandmates . I'm getting worn out. Thanks Folks for understanding.
Hello friend, I would like to know if those 2 db more than the hdl 30 with respect to the hdl 20 are noticed as I know is that the hdl 30a also has more power than the hdl 20 and I would like to know if they are really noticeable. My question is regarding its range and its sound pressure since I have not decided on one or the other yet. I would like to know which one sounds louder without displeasing. I would appreciate your answer.
After using both for a few years now. The HDL20’s out of the box sound better because of their tuning. The 30’s however when tuned through rdnet sound better and can get much louder while still sounding excellent.

Dj Rizama the 8006’s are great! That should be a killer system. Whenever you can 3 a side of the 6’s or 26’s would be preferred since they are only 10 degree cabinets.
@@sweettreeproductions2149 is he happier because of the weight for transportation, sound quality or other reasons? I will be honest, I've heard these at close range and they are awesome, but for long throw, they do not stand a chance with Electro Voice. Respectfully
The cluster is for how many arrays you have hanging per side. It basically takes out low mid and a few other subtle things to keep the cabinets sounding linear no matter how few or many you have. It doesn’t really change the HF range that should be done in Rdnet.
@@sweettreeproductions2149 yes. The analog one. The HDL 20A. That's my example. Because i got curious how to use that cluster. I mean. I still do the traditional one. I connect the HDL20A to driverack venue 360. The other HDL 20a are for high frequency and other HDL20A are for mid frequency. Is that okay not to use the cluster and high pass filter?? At 8 array per side? I will just configured the frequency type of HDL20A speaker. And not use the HFP and Cluster anymore? Is that okay for my setup?
Andrew Oo Leong Wei that is a great question. The only part that would be significantly different would be the back bar on the 30's. We are using some of our HDL20 carts for the 30's
hmm... is that possible that you guys hang up hdl-18as to hdl30 fly bar & shoot a video post in youtube? because what i see from the video you post in youtube the hdl-30 fly bar is slightly smaller than hdl-20 fly bar
shorter throw for sidewashes and downfills makes good sence. Long throw for some clarity is needed. Therefore , one is just as good as the other depending upon it's applicatiion HDL.30s downfills and sides and 20s for long throw. Hope I Have added some clarification. No Pun Intended. Thanks Folks. centerstage entertainment we believe so. They definitely have more horsepower. We personally like the sound quality better compared to the HDL20’s. You are able to so much more while using RDNet with these boxes to help out with aiming and keeping the speakers from being harsh.
yes i have notice with the HDL 20S. they can get harsh. but I've been able too tame them some what, question would you use a drive rack with HDL 2Os and if so whats the benefit, I'm mean can i get more out of the box with a drive rack?

Can you really tell the difference between a well Eq’d HDL20 and well tuned HDL30s? Or both systems are awesome because they’re both all original RCF Italian driver goodness? ❤😂 Just timing of the purchase and model preference at this point? Kavaja Music we over 4 years in and over 1500 cabinets sold. Much happier than when we were a JBL house. The other two JBL houses we switched over are happier too. The Rdnet control, and their rigging are game changers.
I tend to agree that plastic cabnets in general sound like a plastic bottles, and I'm yet to hear an RCF cabinet nor a cabinet from anyone else that honestly breaks that pattern. These arrays are a good budget solution but are no substitue for a passive wooden cabinet.
