Just installed My RCI offroad Diff Skid 9n my 4th gen v8 4runner Only thing I wish Is that there was a Added Peice that Went From the Skid up the Back of The Diff housing To provide Protection for the Fill plug and Back housing it's also a Potential Dirt and Mud Bowl Collector @Classys Garage
I installed one of these recently after I bashed the crap out of my diff. Didn't want to be stranded out in the middle of nowhere with a bent diff cover and leaking fluid. Even though I already installed it, I always enjoy watching your videos, you always seem to put a little extra thought into your installs.
Yo man, you have a great channel! I've gotten some good tips and information from you. I purchased a rear diff skid from Bay Area Metal Fab and you only lose a quarter inch clearance. It also protects the area where your drive shaft enters the rear diff which is really key when crawling over rocks.
I like that you painted the skid plate to match, I have the same RCI skid plate for my diff but not painted. I'm considering now to take all of my under armor off and paint it quicksand. What is the name of the paint you used and is it can spray?
The best match for Quicksand is Rust-Oleum Gloss Khaki. This one - Rust-Oleum 249032 Stops Rust Spray Paint, 12-Ounce, Gloss Khaki Currently sold out on Amazon, most of the big box stores will not have it. And don't buy the 2X one, it does not match as good as the regular. Thanks for watching.
Yup this year. We have a couple FL peeps heading to the T4Runner Experience this year. We had a great time at the Destination Outdoor event which was set up by the same folks. Thanks for watching.
My 19 TRD off road has a steel plate ring where the drive shaft meets the front of the diff so I can't get the front bracket to go over that onto the differential. Any ideas?
I believe your talking about the flange the driveshaft is bolted to. The brace should be behind that on the diff. If you brought it used there is no telling what someone could have done. Could you send me a couple pics on IG.
This is a dumb question but will sr5, off-road and TRD pro all fit same size skid? Looking to order one and it’s asking me to choose between pro and off-road… i have SR5.
@@scooter_0113 I think it has to do with the position of your drain hole on the diff. I would call them up to be sure before you order. Not a dumb question.
